Any way to prevent Autosense 10 from reporting naps as overnight sleep?
I awaken between 3/4am then get up. Sometimes I'll lay back down near 6am and sleep until 7-7:30am. Additionally I may lie down and nap for an hour or so at/near noon then again at 3:30/4pm for an hour or so before going back to bed between 9:30/10pm for the night then repeat tomorrow. My question is how can I eliminate/prevent the ResMed software from confusing or listing one of my catnaps as my actual overnight sleep? I know there's always SH but I'd prefer to limit my understanding to just basics... least for now until I'm a little more fluent related to my situation.
Now that my mask fit issue has been resolved and totally comfortable, I find this therapy a bit addictive and not likely to diminish once my ClimateLineAir/Oxy is delivered later today.
TIA for any/all ideas/recommendations

There's no way for you to tell the machine itself what to record/report/ignore. Sorry.
Now you can use SleepyHead and turn off the nap session time frame so that it gets excluded from the data reporting but that's as much as you can do.

Depending on how aggressive your insurance/doc/etc. are related to compliance, you may want to capture all your usage. Don't short change yourself, grab every minute you can.

Who is looking at the detail besides you? All insurance is interested in is how many hours you used it in a 30 day period.

Thanks again guys! Seems I was misunderstanding how myAir works. Last I checked it was only listing a nap. Now all sleep events have been recorded for the time I was looking at. I wasn't concerned with security-related events as only my VA pulmonologist might peek in from time-to-time. I was concerned that only a single event might get reported per day and that an hour long event couldn't accurately convey an overnight session. Now I see that multiple sleep events are cumulative on a given day but results when viewed online may be less than immediately posted.
One last question if I may; Where can I download the latest Rev of SleepyHead for Mac?

In my region, MyAir has a very wide range of times when it uploads the data, so take care when you look at it to ensure it ha all of your sessions included. I have seen it range from 6AM to 10AM as to when it finally gets the previous night sleep recorded. All with me taking off the mask between 5:30 and 6 A.M.

DRATS! Got SH downloaded and set up only to find I've misplaced my SD/USB adapter and too much work to use a different device with an SD. Will have to make a store run later so I have a dedicated CPAP SD reader.

Which model Mac are you using? Most of them have built-in SD card readers.salinas212 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 11:45 amDRATS! Ms Gran yer so right, Thank you! I can't believe I never knew that in spite of having had a hi-fi system here for years that used an SD card for changing amp parameters and always used an SD caed plugged into a USB adapter on rear of Mac screen. I'm not to be trusted I tell ya!

We see that fairly often here. People that have never used an SD card, and that wee little slot is hard to see or feel.

To the original poster:
I think it's already been clarified. In case it hasn't, total sleep time is reported for each "day," which is typically noon to noon.
Any naptime will be included, but I can't think of any reason to exclude naps.
BTW, I'm glad you're napping with the machine, as some don't "bother" for short naps (not a good idea).
