Soft cap headgear - help with keeping mask on?

Post by KTinTexas » Sat Feb 10, 2018 1:31 pm

Does the softcap headgear you can buy separately help to keep the mask on at night? I tried taping it to my face with surgical tape but I just pulled it off anyway.

you may need to wear boxing gloves at night so can't rip it off.

You can buy a $3.99 plain white ball cap at Walmart and cut off the brim, it has a soft velcro backstrap to tighten it so it doesn't hurt your head to lay on it at night. Sew the proper side of velcro where needed, and you can use it to attach the straps from your FFM.

Much cheaper than the softcap headgear, but you do have to do some sewing. If it works ok for you, then you can decide if you'd rather buy the more expensive softcap instead.
