Time clocks

Post by Brubek » Sun Jan 21, 2018 4:45 pm

I have a Phillips Respironics Dreamstation. Sometimes I want to use it with a time switch. The time switch turns on the machine, but it does not start pumping air. You still have to turn that part on manually. Does anyone have a workaround for this so that a Dreamstation will work with a time switch?

Thanks.

Try turning Auto On...to off.
With Auto On to the On position you have to have the machine actually sense your breathing and resistance on the other end.

With Auto On set to off the machine turns on with the push of a button no matter whether you are attached or not.
If left blowing and using another source for completion of the power circuit it should work. At least in theory.

Do you know how to get to the clinical menu setup area to see if Auto On is on or Off already? If it is off already then I don't have any idea how to do what you want to do.
If you don't know how go here and request the manual for your machine as it will explain how to get to the setup menu area.

That makes no sense to me whatsoever.
Just "breathing" in the mask will start the machine with "Auto On" turned On.

Spoofing compliance?
I hope not. dangerous, unhealthy, etc.
Maybe using the blower to dry the hose?--pointless, IMO.
