What is the scoop on the Swift FX Bella?

Post by sewsleepy » Tue Jan 16, 2018 12:22 am

Anyone using the Swift FX Bella or tried it and didn't like it that could share their experience? Does it make your ears sore? Does it stay put where it needs to be?

I'm really tired of having mask hair in the morning and thinking about trying this but I'm not sure how those straps would feel on my ears.

A sample of one: I found it a very logical support concept. For many others perhaps, but, for me, a flawed one. The ones I was using, though, were very uncomfortable on the ears. The loop around the back seemed to focus a sharp line of contact right in the crease between the stiff cartilage of the ear and the softer skin of the head. I used them intermittently for a few months before going on to something else in an ongoing quest for the one mask that worked best for me.

You won't know how they will do on your ears until you try them. Yes, they will stay in place and may or may not cause some ear discomfort mainly depending on how your ears attach to your head. If you don't have much of a "groove" where your ears are stuck to your head it's not very comfortable because there is no place for the strap to rest.

Padacheek does have some tiny strap pads that help. I would suggest the set of 4 because I would sometimes get some dents where the other part would be touching my skin besides the loop things. But then I get a dent or scar from a wrinkle in a pillow case.

My step sister used them for several years until I introduced her to the P10.

I even used the Loops with the Nano cushion just to see if it could be done and it can. Slept with the Loops keeping the Nano cushion in place and slept well.
I used the Loops for many months and I think the reason they went by the wayside was because the TapPap was released and I had something else to try.

I might have some loops in the donation box. I know I eventually gave mine away to someone wanting to try them but seems to me like there may have been a pair donated in with some mask stuff a while back. I will try to remember to look today and see if I still have them. If I do you can have them.
Remind me later.

I wanted the loops to work, but they made my ears too sore. Tried them for several nights, adjusting fit each time, willing them to work for me, but no luck. You never know till you try.

I've used the Airfit P10 for several years but recently decided to try the Bella Loops. The jury is still out. I've used it for a few nights and so far find that it doesn't seal as well as the P10. Not ready to give up though. I like to give a new mask at least a week before I give up, especially if it seems comfortable. I'll keep you posted if you would like.

Thanks so much for your replies, everyone. I think it's pretty much as I suspected. I would love to figure out a way to fit my airfit with ear loops if that were possible. I love the mask, I just wish I didn't wake up with the dent in my hair every day.

I found that masks like this one didn't seal well with my slotted nares. The pillows sat a too much of an angle for my nose.
