Typically I walk up to my machine, put my mask on and get in bed.
By the time I am settled in the auto start has my machine going and I am ready for sleep.
Lately it seems I have to huff and puff for a minute or more before the auto start kicks in. So, I often resort to the unthinkable and actually reach over and push th button.
Why after 3 years with this machine would the auto start think it could randomly decide to take a break?
It seems even more likely to do so after a middle of the night bathroom break.

You've been lucky. All the Respironics machines I've had have required the huffing and puffing to get them started. Easier to just push the button.

Mine has started to do this as well.
Probably about time to send it off for a CLA.
Mine is coming up on 5 years old.

I just hope my fingers don't fall off for five more years, after that it won't matter, everything but me in the house will be "Smart", I send my Robot to the kitchen to bring my nightly Ice water, while it's there it will tell the refrigerator to tell "ALEX" to turn on my XPAP, when it hears 'My Robot" after delivering my ice water, dims the lights and closes my bedroom door.
