Help - humidifier not working
Ny humidifier has stopped working with no heat and no use of water. I was sent a replacement with an upgrade kit to accommodate the heated hose. I also changed the hose. The light on the bi-pap for the humifier is a solid orange but was flashing previously when it first stopped working. It is still ...

Re: Anyone with both the Airfit F10 and the Quattro Air?
I would like to try the Airfit 10, but Nationwide Medical tells me Medicare is not providing reimbursement for that mask. Is that true? I'm currently using the Quattro Air, but would prefer a lighter mask. I'm still waiting for other local SMEs to call me back!

Re: OT: Mike & I have Pneumonia!
Hello, As a long time RN manager of emergency departments and other clinic services, I want to put in my two cents. Definitely, demand an appointment with the Administrator. Any staff working with CPAP, oxygen and pulse oximetry must have had training and completed successfully a competency exam tha...

Re: Good Mail Order DME?
An update to my last message. I just spoke to Nationwide and they stated they no longer supply just the headgear for a mask, we have to purchase the whole mask. I'm not sure why they didnt tell me that when I called just ordering a headgear strap, but since I'm am eligible for a mask they sent it. T...

Re: Good Mail Order DME?
I also have Nationwide as my DME and have been very disappointed with them recently. Today when I got home, I had a package from them with a new mask I did not order. I am due for a new mask and requested one they don't carry. I asked for a new headgear for my old mask. I know it is now illegal to a...

Re: Mask purchase problem
Thanks for all the advice. Of course, I have all my sleep studies and orders. I think I will call Medicare and see what the story is really. Nationwide told me that they have this mask on back order and that may be several months. Actually one person told me they don't make enough money off of this ...

Mask purchase problem
I have Medicare and have been obtaining my equipment and supplies from Nationwide Medical. My provider has ordered a Quattro Air FFM for me after several mask fit appointments as I continue to have major leak and did well with this when tested. Nationwide does not carry, this mask. I have tried seve...

Re: Sleepyhead app for Mac OSX
Yes, I installed the patch . Pugsy stated there is a known glitch with some 60 series bi-paps. I had VM CAre fusion for windows installed on my Mac and can now view Sleepyhead with the windows application.

Re: Sleepyhead app for Mac OSX
If you list your machine we can help you. I have a 60 series PR bi-pap and I could not get good info off of sleepyhead on my Mac. I finally installed windows on my Mac and can now view my SH data. Did you download the SH for Mac? There is a bug with some of the 60 series bi-pap that makes SH impossi...

Re: Side Effects of ACA
My side effect is that after working many years and then retiring, I am no longer eligible for healthcare reimbursement from my retirement board. And that occurred because I went back to work part time for the same company I worked for. Obama are made it illegal for me to receive any earned healthca...

Re: How do very old people tolerate CPAP?
I think it is a legitimate question. I have wondered more than once how I am going to shop for and lug my gallon of distilled water into the house and order supplies when I am 90. I think it is not a question of age but of ability. I think there will be new and better interventions in the future, so...

Some women are also put on OCP - oral contraceptive pills with your diagnosis. A specialist would be the best person to advise you.
