High Pressure....How high is your Cpap Pressure Seeting?

Post by mckooi » Wed Jan 10, 2018 3:13 am

Hi Everyone,

After reading some posts. I wondered how high is your cpap pressure setting? Is this relate to how long you will live? What are the implications?

I start with my pressure setting=18.5cm

your pressure is the amount of pressure it takes to keep your airway open so you don't have apnea's. that's all, nothing more. pressure is a mis-leading word. your pressure is only about .3 psi, which is quite low pressure. think of it like standing in front of a fan. the fan is blowing the airway open but not pressurizing anything.
