Entering the clinical menu

Post by Josiah » Tue Jan 09, 2018 7:51 pm

I haven't learned how to reliably enter the clincial menu on a Resmed AIRsense 10. I push the Home button (under the screen) at the same time as I press the center of the round knob. Sometimes it works mostly it doesn't. I know I'm missing something.

Are you holding and pressing the buttons long enough?

From the manual:

Accessing and exiting the Clinical Menu
You can access, view and set parameters relating to a patient's therapy and device configuration in the Clinical Menu.

To access the Clinical Menu:
Press and hold the dial and the Home button for three seconds.
The Home screen is displayed with an unlock icon in the top right corner of the screen.

To exit the Clinical Menu:
· Press and hold the dial and the Home button for three seconds.
· Select Exit Clinical Menu from the Home screen.
The device will automatically exit the Clinical Menu after 20 minutes of inactivity.

I would advise you NOT to enter the clinical menu that is for your DME ONLY because if you screw something up in there it might affect your therapy. but you can do what you want thats just my opinion. why do you want to go in there anyway?

It's HIS machine and HIS therapy.
The sooner the users take control of THEIR own therapy, the sooner they'll learn and get their therapy tweaked for better results. That's been the nature of this forum since its inception.......to help users understand and take control of their therapy.

Making changes to your own therapy is no different than a diabetic adjusting their insulin dosage as necessary. DMEs like to tell you it is against the law to make changes to your therapy, but they can never quote that law.

Please go away.

This forum exists to help people help themselves, we don't need "the kneejerk party line".

It's actually far, far, far safer than adjusting insulin dosages... cuz get that wrong, and you die.
