Hi All. Please tell me this is the data you want to see from SleepyHead. I'm trying ever so hard

Re: Last nights SleepyHead data
Graphs look good,
You prob want a bit more minimum pressure may be 11cm but I will let one of the experts chime in

Thanks. Put it up to 11 tonight . See how I go with that. Concerned about leakage. I think I'll have to get the nasal pillows. Looks like it went right up to 19 cm at some point. Surprised it hasn't blown right off at that pressure.Jas_williams wrote:Graphs look good,

You need to fix the leaks. See how it goes, and adjust as needed. I would have 11 or 12, It may need a bit more later. I think that spike isn't going to be a common thing, long term. If it does become an issue, it can be worked on.
The dream station has a mask fit function and there are youtube videos.
also are you mouth breathing, wake up with very dry mouth or air coming out of it?

Re: Last nights SleepyHead data
First of all you didn't spend 20% of the night in large leak. You had maybe 5 minutes out of nearly 6 hours spent in large leak and barely in large leak at that. The 20% leak reported...it's wrong because it's based on a ResMed red line threshold in SleepyHead. Look over on the events graph....see the gray large leak block? It's tiny and no way is it 20% of the night.
Go to Preferences in SleepyHead then the CPAP tab and on the right see where the red line threshold is set to 24 L/min. That's a ResMed leak number and it doesn't work so great for Respironics machines. Respironics doesn't ever give us an exact red line threshold like ResMed does because the red line varies with pressures used and the mask used. If you want to just use the events graph for leak evaluation...turn off the red line statistic or if you want to use it change the threshold to something more suitable to your machine. 70 L/min is a nice conservative number for your pressure needs. It's actually probably a bit higher.
Your leaks are NOT an issue unless they are waking you often. I wouldn't give 5 minutes or 15 minutes more than a brief glance as long as it didn't wake me often.
Oh...when I was using bilevel I saw pressures over 20 nearly every night and I use nasal pillows and they stayed right in place. They didn't go blowing across the room at higher pressures like a balloon you stick a pin in.
That pressure increase you see....did you wake up on your back by chance?

No Pugsy. I was virtually unconscious then. Between midnight and 3 am. As far as I know I barely moved and I was deeply asleep. I'll check today when I get home after work what last night was like.Pugsy wrote:First of all you didn't spend 20% of the night in large leak. I am still waking with headaches and dry mouth. I think the dry mouth is because I am keeping my mouth shut all night and I definitely don't normal do that.
Before CPAP dry mouth was because of high AHI.

Re: Last nights SleepyHead data
With a higher minimum pressure, you should do a better job of lessening FL, H, OA which will mean the reactive machine pressure increase will be less.
Your constant leak is not significant to your treatment BUT could be interrupting your sleep. I don't think so as I don't see obvious signs of arousals. Work on both.

What position(s) do you think you are sleeping in? (Without video, we can't know for sure because we are sleeping. But, you can know your starting and ending positions.)Danlo67 wrote:I was virtually unconscious then. Between midnight and 3 am. As far as I know I barely moved and I was deeply asleep.
