Post by AMESS » Tue Dec 05, 2017 7:00 am

Today I had two different numbers. Res med 6.8 and Sleepyhead 4.8. Does any one know why this is? TY

Was your SD card in your cpap machine all night?

Which numbers are you talking about?

MyAir score?? I thought you meant ResScan numbers.

MyAir isn't known to be particularly reliable for some reason. I have no idea why the difference other than MyAir is often wrong.
SleepyHead and what your machine shows on its LCD screen trumps MyAir any day of the week.

Now there can be a slight difference between the AHI reported by SleepyHead and ResScan software when the SD card isn't in the cpap machine all night because if the card isn't in the machine then SleepyHead doesn't have all the data it needs to get a totally accurate report...but that's between the software programs and not MyAir.

If your SD card was in your cpap machine all night...the SleepyHead reported AHI should reflect what is shown on the machine itself.
Doesn't matter what MyAir reports.

AHI numbers can and will vary each night even without a change in masks because we simply don't sleep the same each night.
My AHI numbers vary all the time and I haven't changed masks in months except for last summer when I tried the DreamWear nasal pillows instead of of my P10 nasal pillows.

Been using the P10 for 2 or 3 months now and I bet there's not 2 nights where my AHI was the same. Sometimes a big difference and sometimes a little difference.
So variations in the AHI are to be expected and normal.
