Re: A leaking hole on the front of Dreamwear Nasal Mask
Another thought we had on this board a while ago was to somehow wedge and affix the filter only part (without the frame) of a CPAP machine filter inside the front exhale port of the DreamWear mask, the logic being that in principle it's designed to let enough air through for adequate breathing. :ide...

Re: Anyone have experience using liners?
I really would like to get some strap covers to prevent the dent on my cheeks, but, I don't see any that work with my device. I have a Philips headgear and a Nuance Progel frame. The gel part seems pretty worthless, but, I've been told that I have to use it since I use the Gel nasal pillows. I like...

You could also try an adaptation of the DIY solution from this clever fellow.

Re: Dreamware mask questions
I've used the DreamWear for nearly a year and I like it very much. I had your concerns about fitting the right size, so I enlisted a CPAP DME to help, and was able to try both medium and large frame size. I have a 7 5/8 inch hat size (large head) but the medium frame is the best fit for me. I use t...

Same experience here. I've noticed that the length, frequency and severity of colds has deceased since I started CPAP, this from a guy who used to get long, frequent and bad ones.

Re: Mask pushing towards eyes
My sleep doc claims he has trained his tongue to stay at the roof of his mouth. Really? Try this to help with mouth breathing (or mouth leaking, to be more precise): 1. Place the tip of your tongue behind your top front teeth and let it rest against the roof of your mouth. 2. Relax your tongue and ...

Re: A Series of Unfortunate Events--Using a Heated Hose
I changed my settings to "fixed" with the humidifier and heated hose both set on 3 . It was an awesome night. I loved having the constant warm air. I also turned my exhale relief off and I LOVE IT! I felt so much better! It only took less than 5 minutes to get used to the difference in feeling. Now...

Re: Heated Tube for Dreamstation
I use my humidifier, but my room is kept very cool--hence the rain out. I, too, like to keep my regeneration chamber (AKA bedroom ) as nice and frosty as the long-term storage facility at the morgue. My Dreamstation kit came with both the regular and the heated hose, but I have only used the latter...

Re: Dreamwear Pain in the nose!
I use the dreamwear nasal mask too and had similar issues for the first month or so. Got a little red and sore for a while - I found using a tiny amount of vaseline helped until it cleared up and now dont have any more issues. Good luck! Vaseline before or after taking off the Dreamwear? Did it com...

Re: Dreamwear Pain in the nose!
Lansinoh has been used by forum members (and others) for YEARS with no ill effects. The ONLY downside is that it is an animal product, and some extremists may be opposed to it for philosophical reasons alone.. Thanks for the reassurance concerning possible ill effects. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...

Re: Dreamwear Pain in the nose!
I had the same problem last night with this mask! The whole septum/columella/subnasal area is REALLY sore and red. Go to WalMart or similar store and in the baby aisle is a product called Lansinoh lanolin ointment/cream. Get some and use it liberally on the sore areas today. It is a product used by...

Re: Cleaning humidifier vs. distilled water
My stuff is all Respironics. I probably don't clean any of my gear as often as I should. Maybe once every week or two, with the mask occasionally cleaned sooner. I forgot to do my tank on my last cleaning, but no issues. I don't see any build up of any kind on it. I only use distilled water. Same h...

Re: Do You Alternate Between Masks?
I'm about this close to pulling the trigger on a Dreamwear Nasal Mask. I'm just waiting for a confirmation from a vendor whether it comes with soft fleece cheek wraps included or if I have to get my own from you know where . I've heard good things about it and I'd like to put it into my rotation. B...
