Can't figure out how to upload oximetry data

Post by KL. » Mon Nov 20, 2017 10:28 am

I've been struggling to understand how to upload overnight data I recorded with the Sp02 Assistant oximeter.

I strongly suspect I have OSA and already tried two sleep studies. First one failed because I couldn't fall asleep. Second one had to be cancelled due to family crisis which is still ongoing. Meanwhile I need to know my overnight oxygen levels.

I'd like to attach screenshots of what I see when I try to upload the data. Is there a way to do this? All I see is a way to insert an URL. My images are on my desktop.

Thanks.

Below are links to six screenshots. A few are sideways due to a glitch on the image hosting site.

#1. Meter turned on, per instruction of previous post.
#2. Image showing me about to click on the program.
#3. What I see when the program opens up.
#4. What opens up after I click on the left image that's shown in #3.
#5. What opens up after I click on the right image that's shown in #3.
#6. What opens up after I click on the "demo" that's shown in #5.

Can't figure out a way to get beyond any of these points.

You can now see why I am totally lost with what appears to be a very user unfriendly system.

I've also clicked on the various tab programs that run across the top in #3, but all are dead ends.

I just bought the same one a month ago and struggled to upload data.

Once you get to the last screen you posted, save it to a different folder (i do desktop). Then it saves and you can open it from your deskstop or then move the file somewhere else.

Why not just tell us what you think the results are - if you can read them at all.

#6 appears to be a sampling of what the data looks like, rather than my own. In fact, it's dated 2010. It is not my data. Times don't concur, either.

To the second poster, I saved the sample data (why would I need to do this?) to the desktop. Windows was not able to open it.

I have no idea what my numbers are. I am unable to locate the data no matter what I click on.

This this:
Put on the pulse oximeter
Press button once to get to menu
Press button until you are on “record off”
Press and hold button until “record on” comes on
Press button until on exit
Press and hold button to exit out
Keep on finger overnight with a sock over hand to prevent it coming off
In the morning, do the reverse to stop recording
Connect cord to oximeter and computer
Put oximeter on finger and turn on
Open SpO2 Assistant
Click on “Connect Device”
Select Comx under “Connection” (x could be a number)
Hit Refresh if needed, ie you don’t see Comx
Select view device stored data only
Click connect
Click box under user index
Click user info if you want to input that data (ie name)
Click receive data
Click ok
It takes you back out
Click open file
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SpO2 Assistant V3.0.3\Data
Select file and click open
Save it at a different folder
I do the last step since the file is hidden and I want to input the file into sleepyhead

A few weeks ago was when I did all the steps up to:

"Select view device stored data only"

There is no button, tab or dropdown that says "select view device stored data only."

Therefore, I'm at a dead end, and anything after this point doesn't matter since I can't find the "select view device stored data only."

I think I have a defective device. Not too long ago I purchased a Contec pedometer. It didn't work. It added steps, creating false total of steps. Other times it didn't add all the steps (I'd test it with just 20 to 40 steps and already could see the disparity). Never again will I buy anything from Contec.

if you skip that step or don't have it, then once you are in (ie select com3 then click connect), go to file then "Device Stored Data". Then continue on my list of instructions.

the pop up window in your 4th picture, can you click the bottom right part of the pop up window and make the window larger?

I'm unable to make the pop-up window of #4 bigger no matter what I do. What you see is what always pops up. There's probably stuff hidden there, not opened up, that you're referring to. This is why I'm stuck. I'm unable to see, in your second last post, those items to click.
