Were you awake from 6:30ish until you turned the machine off?

Give people a chance. It's also best to stay with one thread so we don't have to look all over to see history or whatever you've already been told.

By shutting your machine off when you wake up, you are reinforcing CAN'T to your Brain. TOTALLY what you don't want to do. Wear it while awake watching T.V., running of course, the practice will reinforce the brain to accept this new alien tech. Jim

I had some trouble like that when I first started. I would sleep ok, but wake up early, and falling back asleep was a lost cause. Hang in there, it will probably get better as you get used to the machine. Could take months, but it should be worth it.

your ca may be new user pressure induced, they settle down for most people within 12 weeks. some find reducing the EPR to 1 or 0 may help.
I would raise your min to 8 and max to 10 and see what the numbers look like. You can change as you go along.
get the chart up and you will get some advice

You might try a sleep aid, like Ambien, assuming that you can do that, to get your body used to sleeping with cpap going. I needed to do that for about a week, and then okay from then on. First night on cpap, I couldn't get to sleep at all, so got a prescription for Ambien from my sleep doctor...then, like I said, after a week, just stopped using it, and everything was fine.

There's another thing that occurs to me, but you aren't ready for that yet *smile*. Good luck...

If you were awake from 6:30 on then most likely all those event flags aren't real but instead are Sleep/Wake/Junk..where the machine flags awake breathing irregularities...so they aren't real if you are awake. Only the events that get flagged when asleep matters.

Sleeping with the mask and machine can take some getting used to for some people.

Is there anything you can put your finger on that might explain why you can't sleep with the mask on? Comfort? Pressure? Anything?
