Mask issues

Post by Cathy frazier » Tue Nov 14, 2017 9:22 am

I was able to use my machine for many years and all of a sudden I can not tolerate it. I've tried different masks and nothing works. Any suggestions or reasons why this is happening

So what makes it so uncomfortable now that you can't use it? It's really hard to offer ideas when we don't know exactly what the problem is.
Your subject mentions mask issues....which mask and what issues?

What machine...brand and model? And what pressure(s) are you using?

Perhaps there's a problem with the machine after "many years"? It may be time for it to be checked by your DME for any mechanical issues--like loss of pressure. It's possible that your apnea has changed so that the original settings are not working for you anymore. Have you had any recent evaluations for the effectiveness of your settings?

When did you last replace your mask cushion and straps?
