it's time for a new ASV - advice?
it's time for a new ASV - advice?
Hi all! It's been a while since I posted. I have been happy with my Resmed S9 ASV, but it's been over five years, and I'm due for a new machine-- presumably/hopefully another ASV. I'm not up on what the latest & greatest are and am wondering if this group has opinions on models you like or ones to avoid. Thanks in advance.

Re: it's time for a new ASV - advice?
I would suggest sticking with the same machine in ResMed but just the newer model.
AirCurve 10 ASV.
You really only have 2 choices in the ASV brand names....ResMed or Respironics and since you have been using the ResMed with its algorithm I don't think I would be changing. You might not like the way the Respironics goes about doing things and it for sure would not be what your body is used to.

They gave the S9 a cosmetic upgrade and a few other little minor improvements (humidity and hose air temp adjustability) but didn't change the basic algorithm.

You essentially copied everything that Pugsy said. You just have to answer everyone's question, even if you don't have your own answer.xxyzx wrote:====wolewyck wrote:Hi all! its pretty much resmed or philips
the s10 looks like a new nameplate on the s9 to me
maybe they made some minor changes
i thought the resmed algorithm was better
but the philips does the BU rate correctly to avoid problems
so if CA is a big issue I would go with respironics
you are used to the s9
so unless you are not happy
i would suggest you stick with it
