I have been suffering from vasomotor Rhinitis by using CPAP for number of years. No one is able to diagnose the condition that Rhinitis could have been caused by CPAP. There is a general belief, even amongst doctors, that humidification will solve all Rhinitis problems. I don't think so. I feel that my residual sleepiness is due to rhinitis . also this chronic rhinitis results in allergic rhinitis to cold and seasonal pollens.
so, you need to take care of yourself. I just realised couple of possible options that I am going to pursue 1) Chlorine water in tap water may be a cause. so, I am going to use only distilled water 2) rather than full face mask, I am going to use fisher and paykel oracle 2 oral mask. Let me see how I go.

Yes--I have this. Mostly from blowing cold air. People do not understand unless they have it. I give a swipe of KY jelly (regular )It keep the nose moist and helps block the flowing air. Bottom line--not waking up with sore nose and headaches.

Vasomotor rhinitis has no particular cause. it can be set off by cold air, hot air, perfume and many other things. There is no cure. Once you know the things that cause it--stay away--if you can. Many people suffering from allergies have this condition. My big down fall is cold blowing air. Shut A/C off at night in bedroom for this reason.
