Lines on Face

Post by AMESS » Tue Oct 31, 2017 6:32 am

Besides waiting two hrs, is there an easy way to rid your face of lines?

Padacheek.com liners, strap covers, etc. Sometimes ice cubes can speed up things in the a.m.

Liners and strap covers are different with each mask. Some strap covers will fit more than one mask type and some won't.

If you are having dents in the face from the mask straps...get strap covers.
If you are having dents where the cushion is...get a mask liner.
Or get both. The mask liner for the AirTouch F20 is probably the same as for the AirFit 20 but different from the other full face masks.

Headgear adjustment is frequently counter-intuitive.
Often a better fit is achieved by wearing the straps looser than one may think.
Tight fit contributes to pressure lines on the face.

Ty to Pugsy and froggie. Should have known Julie would tell me to go find it myself . Not easy . Good reason to come here--sometimes. Depends on who answers.

"go find it myself . Not easy". I really do want to understand... seeing as you found this site after all... what's so hard about going to another one and seeing what they have to say. IF, once there, you find it difficult to understand, then ask for help, but why not at least TRY!

I would have suggested a mask liner sooner but didn't see the need until you seemed to have found a mask that worked well for at least part of the time.
They are a bit pricey (but will last months and months and months with common sense care) and since the liner is usually specific to the mask itself no sense in spending the money on a mask liner until a person has a mask that they are happy with for at least a good bit of the time.
If a person truly hates a mask for whatever reason I see no sense in spending money on a liner. Liners can help significantly (for some people but not all) and if someone just "hates" a mask I doubt that a liner is going to change the "hate" into "love" if the hate is strong enough.

Using a liner will also very likely help prolong the life of the AirTouch foam cushion since the liner will absorb some of the facial oils etc that will degrade the foam over time.

Strap covers are a very important part of my equipment. I get lines or dents from the least little thing (even a wrinkle in the pillow case) and I don't wear my mask tight at all...so having it too tight isn't necessarily the cause of the dents. The strap covers will go a long way in preventing dents from the mask straps. I even use them with my P10. I still might get a little dent every now and then (usually on the side that I lay on the longest) but not nearly as bad as I would get without the strap covers.

TY Pugsy--just ordered. Hopefully they will arrive before my up and coming cruise. Have the strap liners here from another mask. Think size small mask is stretching out. Having to make it tighter.
