Problem people

Post by AMESS » Wed Oct 18, 2017 8:10 am

There are problem people here--Julie, Las and XXy who seem to get a real charge out of harrassing others when they make the slightest error--in their mind anyway. . I am not deleting anyones posts. I referred to Ahi as Ahis--so what. And XXYy--I am truely speechless.

AMESS,

You're right, referring to Ahi as Ahis is not a criminal act. However, Julie is right that the correct term is AHI.

Not that I have always followed my own advice but it seems if you have a problem with someone, it might be better to PM them. Starting a thread called "Problem people" is only going to start a flame war which is the last thing we need.

The alphabet guy is the exception to what I just said. He is not going to change and it is best not letting yourself respond to anything he says. If you are correcting his information, speak in general terms. Easier said than done I know and again, I haven't always followed my own advice.

This BS is exactly why members and especially new members are fleeing this site. These BS threads get more attention than actual questions from people needing help. SAD.

I know it's easier said than done but .....ignore the people who annoy you for whatever reason you find them annoying.

We have quite a collection of personalities on this forum and some of them are personalities that in real life face to face situations that we would like to be friends with and some are personalities that we would just as soon shoot them as look at them.

And I know that you haven't been deleting anyone's posts. You couldn't if you wanted to because you don't have a way of removing anything yet.

As far as mr alphabet boy (xxyzx) goes. He's in a class all his own for being mean, spiteful and nasty to people and it's not a good class for sure.

Use the Foe option so you don't have to read what he writes.
Click on the link to his member profile page and look in the top middle and see where it says "add foe". Click on that and then it will ask you to confirm it.
From then on you won't have to read what he writes if you don't want to.
You see something like this in any threads he writes in. You can look or not....your choice.
Not much you can do about it when someone quotes what he writes except try to just skim past it and not read it.
That's what I do 98% of the time.

Image

Also simply don't engage him. Don't respond at all to anything he says. That's what I do for the most part and anytime I do engage him it is to clear up something so that newbies are better informed.
I know all this is easier said than done. Knee jerk reaction is to want to slap back when we have been slapped. Been down that road myself. Sometimes I yield to the temptation and slap back...we are only human.

Julie does come across quite harsh and even rude at times. I know she doesn't mean for things to sound that way (most of the time anyway) but it does come across that way. She's also very nit picky about spelling anything. Seems to think that she is the chief of the spelling police for some reason. Again, if she annoys you...just use the Foe button.

I found out a long time ago that my blood pressure stays down if I don't engage these people who have personalities that I would rather shoot them than be friends with them in a real life situation.

I am going to send you a private message in a bit. Please don't respond to it publicly though.

The reason I pointed out the AHIs thing is that I had no way of knowing (otherwise) whether AMESS has any idea of what it stands for. Continuing to use the wrong spelling for the most basic term here tells me he/she does not know, so I made a point of trying to straighten he/she out. Continuing to do it wrong if he/she does know the meaning is sloppy and misleading to other newbies.

For clarity in this thread: AHI=apnea/hypopnea index (hourly average)
It is an acronym, the term I had to look up, because my memory sucks.
Ahi is a fish--and a yummy one at that! Even a typo gives me the munchies.

Now can we talk about tasty food?

Isn't Ahi a type of tuna? Do you have recipes for it? Too bad we don't see it fresh up here, but we'd be happy to share lobster with you - or don't froggies eat those?

I use a tablet and in order to type AHI correctly, I have to hit the shift key three times and sometimes even when I do it doesn't take. Sometimes I am just lazy.

I also kinda enjoy Julie's occasional tart response. That being said, none have been directed at me ...... so far

No that is NOT the only way you are different.
I stand up to bullies all the time but I don't have to resort to name calling to do it.
I am standing up to the biggest bully on the forum right now....YOU and I am not calling you anything but a bully which is clearly what you are.

And don't put the blame on the others for you starting your rants. You've done it without any of them saying a damn thing to you or about you in a thread. You just like being ugly and provoking people. You pride yourself on your aggression...big whoopie...it just shows your lack of skills in dealing with things you don't like.
You can't disagree and come back with a well thought out rebuttal when someone challenges you .....you stoop to 5 th grade tactics of crying "he's picking on me" and name calling instead.

But you know what...go right on doing what you are doing because every time you do it all it does is solidify what everyone else says about you and your personality. You are digging your own coffin and it won't be long before no one gives a rats behind what you say and you will be seen clearly for what you are.

Go right ahead...keep on doing what you are doing.
All you are doing is proving me right and you are unable to see it or understand it.
And I really don't care which it is.

"liar liar pants on fire"...I quit using that childish tirade by the second grade.
You know what people who keep acting like children get treated like...yep...children.
You reap what you sow.
