Help!!!
Help!!!
I am on vacation in SW Utah. Tonight is our first night of seven. We are near Zion National park and heading east, then south to finish at The Grand Canyon on Saturday then, going to Vegas for a few days before flying home.
Here is my problem, I brought my cpap machine but somehow forgot the 6' hose. I have everything else but, no hose
Does anyone know where I can pick up a hose without having to drive to a big city or going big-time outta my way?

Re: Help!!!
I forgot my long hose on a trip to see my daughter who lives in Las Vegas. I found a medical supply store in North Las Vegas open on a Saturday and paid $30 for a really cheap $6 generic gray hose and was glad to pay it.
I don't remember the name but I could maybe find it if I have some time to go look. I found it using an internet search for stores selling cpap supplies.
Now one thing you might check out....truck stops. More and more truck stops are selling basic cpap supplies like hoses and stuff like that.
Or maybe one of the forum members who happens to live out where you will be has a spare you can have.

Re: Help!!!
Many truck stops carry basic cpap supplies because many truckers are on cpap, and most are 24 hour, 7 days a week. Call around.Rickv wrote:I am on vacation in SW Utah. Re: Help!!!
I'd give St. George a shot. There is a large retirement population thee, they gotta have a few DMEs' The other choice is to order from Amazon, pay for next day delivery to whatever motel you are staying at. Let the desk know and they keep an eye out for it.

I don't know for sure if they have the correct diameter, but hardware stores sell hoses (thin plastic, rubber, thick plastic, ...) on reels in the plumbing section that are cut to length.Pugsy wrote:I forgot my long hose on a trip to see my daughter who lives in Las Vegas. Re: Help!!!
I have heard of people doing that but never really saw all the particulars.TedVPAP wrote:I don't know for sure if they have the correct diameter, but hardware stores sell hoses (thin plastic, rubber, thick plastic, ...) on reels in the plumbing section that are cut to length.
I didn't realize what I had done until 11 PM and while Vegas never sleeps...Home Depot and Lowes do.
If I hadn't found a medical supply store open the next day (Sat over a 4th of July weekend so most of the regular DMEs closed)...I was going to be making a trip to Home Depot.
I was going to get something close and duct tape it to get it stuck to the humidifier and mask.

Re: Help!!!
Thanks for all the replies. I believe the Prime overnight idea is the way I am gonna go. We have a kinda insane schedule planned 2 national parks a day (drive throughs mostly) and it would screw up our schedule to have to backtrack.TASmart wrote:I'd give St. George a shot. I just woke up and feel rested my apnea is pretty mild these days I average under 0.5 ahi and have many nights with none.
Thanks again for everyone's input and will keep all the suggestions in mind for future reference if I ever pull a bonehead stunt again.

Re: Help!!!
Go to the nearest hospital, find the RT department, plead your case if they can spare a hose..

Keep in mind that the 0.5 ahi is the *treated* ahi, not would it would be without cpap. Without cpap, you will be back to whatever you were before, or worse, as we tend to get worse over time.
