I am not a party to any of the forum software stuff so I have no idea what is going on unless you got a second email from the second attempt you tried with a slightly different ID name.
Why not just go back and use the AMESS id you already have created and posted under?

It's sort of an automated response that people get when they register. Just disregard.
If you attempted to register 6 different user IDs...you would get 6 similar emails.
Registering just gets you a member name that is yours alone and no one else can use it. You still have to be logged in for that ID to be used.

I know the approval took forever, but the other thing that messed me up for a while is due to the nature of Google user save it saved my username as my email, but you have to use your actual username when you sign in, Probably not it, but I figure it couldn't hurt to make the suggestion.
