bipap question

Post by mangos21 » Mon Oct 09, 2017 3:26 pm

my bipap settings are ipap 12, epap 6.5, rt=3.

just wondering why if i set my epap to 6.5, sleepyhead is showing that my epap for most of the night was actually 8.5. i have no biflex activated.

RT is rise time.
You get Rise time choice if BiFlex is turned off.
It shouldn't account for the discrepancy though.

Can you post an image of the detailed report showing what you are talking about?....so we can see what you are seeing.

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

If you want to try the Eclipse mask and want a special promo code to get a little off the price...send me a private message.

here is a pic. you can see the epap graph and setting. its set at 6 but I spent 110 min breathing out at epap 7.5 and 160 at epap 8.0.

on the sleepyhead side bar it says flex is on and set at 3, but that's not true, its off.

You didn't include the actual pressure graph to see what it was actually doing.
You also didn't include the statistics data.

Disregard the settings showing Flex being on...known bug in the software when it comes to reporting the settings.

Unsure as to accuracy of the time at pressure thing. That was a work in progress when Mark just left SleepyHead half assed done with the bugs in it.

I suggest that you use Encore Pro if you want to see for sure what the time at pressure thing is.

sorry pugsy,

here is another pic. I didn't include the stats bc I have UARS and they aren't really helpful to me. AHI of 0 means nothing for me. in any case, you can see the pressure graphs and EPAP is higher than 6 all night, with the exception of a few leaks.

It was the statistics I was wondering about. The stuff below the smiley face.

I don't know what to tell you about the settings vs what the graphs are showing except you need to confirm with Encore.
I have the model 760 model like your 660 model and I didn't have a problem with SH showing something that didn't add up.
I never used it in fixed bilevel mode though.

Which version of SleepyHead are you using?
