Did you sleep through those leaks?
Did you do anything to help you decided if those are mask movement or mouth breathing leaks?

The report is marginally improved in terms of leak over the other report.

I'd guess it's mouth breathing.

Yes, I sleep through them all and even using the C collar and gel stuff, I wake up about ever 4 hours to pee and mouth is usually dry.

I can't really say I move or check my mask very often so guess 95% of leaks must be mouth breathing. Would the next size larger
C collar help? Can't tape until I cut beard and mustache off and I've had them a long time...LOL

I don't know about how cervical collars help or sizes and results. No experience there.

You are within what ResMed would give you a Mr Smiley for in terms of mask fit. ResMed won't give you Mr Frowny until you hit 30% or more.
Given the sporadic tendency and the fact that a lot of the leaks don't go over 35 L/min...your AHI is probably fairly accurate.
It's not like it is likely missing a ton of events during those leaks.

Since you are sleeping well...up to you how much you want to worry about the leaks and what you wish to try to reduce them.

Roughly 10 hours of sleep...so 600 minutes and 19% over 24 L/min which is 114 minutes but a lot of it not over 24 really bad.
Not quite 2 hours. It's a bit more than I would want to see myself but your longest block was from 4:30 to 5:00..so 30 minutes there. Not all of that 30 minutes was above 35 where the machine could really have a problem flagging something.
Up to 35..it still will do a decent enough job and you would most likely see some unknown apneas if something were happening.

I know people will say "get a full face mask" but I assume you have already been down that road and probably decided it wasn't for you. It's not like they don't have their own set of leak problems.

Actually , I do have a F10 (never used) in my supply box of stuff and I will try it out over the next couple of nights and I also have a next larger size C collar to try if the F10 doesn't work out. Might have to end up using both.

Stand by for results, as they occur....or not!!!

Thanks for the link, I have also used the Scunci head band with my cervical collar on many nights, it helped me some, but wasn't the cure all I keep looking for. I could still manage to open my lips enough to score big leaks. The Scunci band could be all some people need to stop leaks, I'm just not one of them.

I use the Ultimate Chinstrap to control mouth leaking.
It is not clear whether your leaking is causing any issues or not.
If it were me, I would want to experiment as there MAY be a benefit.

i can certainly understand that. i did a bit of modification that helped keep my lips closed. i bought a bunch of "Goody Ouchless comfort headwraps". hard for me to describe, but these are basically rubber bands with a tight cloth covering. i use one of these over the scunci right below where the scunci has that sewn in band. it pulled it taught enough that my lips weren't parting.

also, i use two scunci bands, one with the sewn in band down and the other with the sewn in band up. this gives a gentle but firm press on my lips, pushing them slightly into my teeth.

it did the trick for me and might be worth a shot for you.

if not, i hope you find something that works for you....

I searched and found Walmart's various "Goody Ouches Comfort Headbands" and many other varieties as well. Don't see any described as cloth covered rubber bands. Also don't under stand the band thing for the Souchi head band, much less the one up and one down you describe.
Could you PM me more information on how you did this?
