Has anyone tried the ResMed AirMini? I am thinking about getting one for travel.
Thanks

It strikes me as mighty pricey for a travel machine that I would have to pay for entirely out of my own pocket. I assume the good people at Aetna would not see the need for a backup.

For what it's worth, I was a bit critical of it when I first got it, but now I use it regularly for travel. A little more noise (I've found if I put the machine on the floor away from my bed it's not a big issue) and I had to tweak the settings to get something comfortable (and I had to set it to 'for her' mode for some reason). However, I basically think it's a great device. Is it worth $1k for a travel device? For me the answer is absolutely yes, given how much I travel. It depends on your preferences. I like the fact that I can take my normal carry on bag and not worry about taking up a big amount of space with a CPAP machine.

I've had an airmini for a few months now. I started using it, every night, to be sure it would work, for me, when I travelled. I am still using it, as a nightly machine! I really like it! I do have a full size machine, that I use every few weeks, so I can get more detail about my sleep with Sleepyhead.

I was under the impression the mini would provide the very same detailed daily info the other full sized cpaps do, not so?

It gives pretty good data and what any full size machine would show - without Sleepyhead or any software. Sleepyhead (other software) gives more detail - like how many events, length of events, types of events, pressure changes (if in auto mode), etc. The airmini gives number of all events, average pressure, how long you used the machine and the number of times the mask was adjusted or off. It gives a score out of 100. I am usually around 90. The data tells me that is excellent.

No room for a data card in this little puppy - https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... #specs-tab

Anyone have any idea when the AirMini DC power supply, and/or a battery pack will be available?

I like to tour on a motorcycle, and would sure like a smaller machine. If it had a small battery I could recharge off a bike during the day, and not run down the bike battery at night. I could even boondock camp, rather than motel it like I do now.

Currently I travel with my big old Respironics machine, and keep my nice S9 Autoset safe at home.
