Pressure Changes

Post by Lahree » Tue Sep 05, 2017 5:25 am

My CPAP machine is a DreamStation Auto CPAP. When I originally got it, my pressure range was set 4 - 20. About 2 weeks ago, I asked my doctor to allow a reset to a minimum pressure of 7, because I felt like at 4, I was really struggling for air. I was told that happened and when I turn on the machine, it now says "7" as the pressure. My questions about this are:

Do I need to/and if so, how do I --change settings on Dreammapper and Sleepyhead to show the reset range?

From my stats last night, I have a reading on both programs that said my minimum pressure was 5? How did I get below the lowest reset of 7?

Thanks for all your help!

I have the same machine. Sleepyhead will report what the machine settings are; you do not need to do anything.

Do you have any sort of Flex exhale relief turned on?
If you do that will show up as the minimum because during exhale (EPAP) the pressure will drop from 7 to 5 (or whatever based on the setting).
