F&P Sleepstyle Auto Sleep Data

Post by beegee » Sun Aug 20, 2017 6:14 am

Hi,

I am wondering if it's possible to access the sleep data from this machine at home? Or is it only accessible to a technician? I need a new machine but am used to seeing all the data from my old Remstar Auto using the software & card reader myself.

I don't think it's going to be possible to get the level of data I'm used to from any of the newer machines, but if there is one I'd love to hear about it.

Many thanks,
Barbara

Depending on which new machine you get, you can DL Sleepyhead software free - most here use it and it's more comprehensive than any machine's data. You'd need a card reader (standard, not special) and info on how to post graphs, etc. on Imgur.com to which you'd leave a link in this thread for us to see... but you would need a compatible machine (most new ones are). I'm not familiar with your machine, but others should be, to advise.

For most..if not all..of the Sleepstyle machines there is little data (Only Model 254..i think). They require a special data card and a special card reader. If possible, I would go with a ResMed or Respironics machine with full data.

Thanks for the advice. It's been a long time since I've posted here as I have been very happy with my setup. The Remstar Auto just stopped blowing with any power probably over a year ago now, and because I would have to pay hundreds of dollars for a technician to open it & diagnose if it is a simple problem with the fan/blowing part, or the more serious software part, I have been using my Devilbiss Sleepcube (which was my travel/backup machine). I get no useful data & have been missing it.

I am undecided about which new machine to purchase, but will do more research & make a choice as I don't like not having any backup.

Does anyone have any advice about checking inside the old Remstar at home (as a matter of interest)? Maybe it's possible to diagnose the fault & make the decision to ditch it or not.

Many thanks,
Barbara
