Re: keep taking mask off

Put a chin strap around the mask or tape it to your face. Go to padacheek.com and look at her anti leak strap for that mask. So why are you taking it off? Awake and taking it off and simply don't put it back on or doing it in the middle of the night and don't remember it and not realize it until mo...

keep taking mask off

so I am using the cpap machine, I can leave the mask on but I keep taking off the mask and a result I only use it for 1-2 hours. Anyone want to give any pointers? The apneas are below 5 and I have the pressure minimum of 10 and max of 15.

Re: sleep apnea causing breathing difficulties?

90/60 bp isn't right, given your other stuff. Are you able to go to a decent doctor and run some tests? cpap can reduce bp, but it's normally with CHF, which you would certainly be aware of and wouldn't be exercising without chest pain and shortness of breath. No chest pain just sometimes finding i...

Central Apneas

So I am looking at the machine today. Still trying to get used to the full face mask and finding that 'right pressure to fall asleep to and not wake up' but my machine as well as my sleep test was showing some central apneas.

Re: Sleep apnea can cause serious brain injury

This is heart breaking. I have had a lot of bad stuff happen in my life but I love life and there are a few things that still keep me going. Music I have found is the best therapy for someone who suffers from sleep apnea. Sleep apnea I have found makes it incredibly difficult to study and learn and ...

Re: sleep apnea causing breathing difficulties?

Just shortness of breath. I don't have asthma or anything according to the lung test I did but I think it is the side effects of the sleep apnea that is causing it. General tiredness/fatigue loss of interest. I also suffered through digestion problems too because of this. THere could be some non-sl...

EPR setting for Full faced mask?

So the sleep technician today forgot to play around with my machine(Resmed Auto sense 10) (Mask F20 Resmed) and I don't believe she even turned it on switch it to full faced mask or do the EPR. That begs the question, is EPR needed for a full faced mask? I decided to try out the new resmed full face...

Re: sleep apnea causing breathing difficulties?

What model of which machine do you use? What are your pressures set at now? Airsense 10 auto at the moment. Right now the pressure it's minimum of 8 but maximum of 15. Sleeping on the side reduces that feeling of claustrophobia. I am naturally a mouth breather since birth. I probably had sleep apne...

sleep apnea causing breathing difficulties?

Hi all, So a few years back, I got diagnosed with sleep apnea. At first the treatment was doing fine, but I kept taking off the mask in the night. To save some money, I went for the constant pressure but things didn't turn great. I sold the machine then because my apneas had gone down significantly ...
