xxyzx wrote:using resmed 10 ASV

machine says my RR is 7
my normal sleeping RR is closer to 10
it was 12.8 in the sleep lab but most of that was awake time which includes faster RR in the final average

machine says Vt is 1660ml which seems a bit high for sleeping
and the MV was 12.1L/min which is typical for light activity not sleeping

the target TgMV was 9.5 L/min
so why was the actual so much higher

it also said 4.1 events/hour
but AHI was 0.6
and total AI of 0 ????

leak was 7L/min but i was aware of a funny feeling from time to time and had to open my mouth to exhale and then could inhale with the rest of the Ipap time
i suspect if i had not done that it woudl have caused aerophagia big time

the other data on the device said Epress 6.1
and Pressure 14.1 which is below max of 15

Epap min is 6
Epap max 15 -
PS min/max 4/19

so the main question is am i slowing down the RR because it is forcing too much air and i dont need that much oxygen
or is it forcing more Vt because I am slowing down the RR even more than my usual

other useful observations about how this device is working are welcome
You've GOT to be KIDDING. Youve spent WEEKS arguing about how asv machines work... Proclaiming how resmed had a fixed 15 backup rate.... And now this. :Shaking head:. Incredible.

Lucky he is a skilled engineer and tells everyone how everything works. He obviously doesn't need any input from me.
I'm sure he will flick an email to resmed telling them their machine is broken

you dont have any input other than insults

i am an engineer not a doctor
i have no reason to think the machine is broken
so there you go lying again

just curious why RR is so low and whether i do need to see my doctor
clearly you and paleface dont know crapola about how it works or how it affects the user
You've been on your arrogant high horse ever since you got here, why don't you tell US what's wrong, since you've been doing it constantly.

Of course, if you admitted the limits of your knowledge, and apologized to everyone you've insulted since joining the forum... someone might just deign to help you.

I wouldn't deliberately let him hurt himself, but it is funny watching this clown trying to workout how the machine works.
If only he had a clinical manual from the site he was banned from
I'm sure your doctor would be happy to see you again, you're such a treasure to deal with

PS: just to rub in some salt, I have a very good idea to what is going on, but I'm not telling.

xxyzx -- you have more nerve than brains! You don't care what you say and who you insult. Yet you come here asking for help again. You don't deserve any help from anyone on this forum. Yeah... I know... I'm a libturd (along with all the others).

I know it's REALLY hard, but I thought we all kind of agreed that the best course of action would be NOT to respond to alphabet guy? If nobody responds to him other than to correct blatant errors, he'll give up and go away.

Just a friendly reminder... or maybe it's a begging request??

well, this thread is better than the actual warning-thread.
here everybody can see that he has no clue at all what he's talking about and as he is going to fail quickly, he can't give any advice at all - besides how to quickly fail on every machine there is.

i know what i am talking about
i corrected paleface when he screwed up proving he knows nothing

you can not show one thing i said in this thread that is false or shows i do not know what i am talking about
you are just piling on because you are a pitiful insecure person
Oh sweetie. There are plenty of other threads where you're wrong. ASV being the same as AVAPS is a biggie. Just because you don't understand what you read and refuse to understand when it's explained-- don't make you right. Just makes you arrogant.

What's to adjust. I recall someone making a statement that the ASV automatically adjusted to you. What else is there to do?

yes

carolyn warned teh bullies
i ignored their silly libelous threads
but once again they track me down and insult me
but never show anything i said is wrong
all they do is prove they dont understand crapola especially logic
You have been shown at least several things that you said that were wrong, but you just won't even consider the possibility that you might, you know, be wrong. Just because you won't admit you may be wrong or may have misspoken doesn't mean you are not, in fact, wrong. Perfect example is the statement you made in another thread about deviated septums. You made a blanket statement that they couldn't cause breathing problems only cosmetic. You later said that's what your wife's doctor said. Well just because he said it related to your wife's condition doesn't mean that's the case for everyone. So you were wrong to make that blanket statement without qualifying that this was the case for your wife but it might be different for others. I am living proof that a deviated septum can cause breathing problems as the deviation causes a narrowed nasal passage that swells shut easier.
