Power adapter failed. Anyone in SC have an extra?

Post by OSAdude76 » Mon Jul 31, 2017 11:10 pm

So it may be a long shot, but I'm desperate. Tonight my power adapter just died. Was working fine and the machine is less than two years old. But the green light won't turn on anymore. Other things work fine in the outlet so it has to be the adapter.

Worst case scenario is two day shipping from Amazon, but instead of being miserable for two days, i was wondering if anyone on here had an extra who lives in Chareston, SC.

Is it common for adapters to break after two years??

Thank you!

Call your DME. If it is within warranty, they should be able to just give you a new adapter. If not, your insurance should still be able to cover a replacement since it is technically a repair.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Thank you. I am just worried they'll have to ship it to me and it will take a week. I called and they said they should be able to get my prescription and get me the adapter from a medical store. We'll see!

You can't always be sure of things in the signature line can you?

Still think in the Subject line gets more attention but so be it, keep it in the sig line.

Sorry. I have no way to know who is using what readers and what shows or doesn't show.
It's a ResMed AirSense 10 machine.

I suppose not but then if we go down that road we can't be sure that the equipment profile is a sure thing either..so why bother with it either?
Or they may not even state the correct equipment in the body of the post either.

exactly..
here is yet another perfect example of a regular member who just doesn't like guests derailing yet another thread by not offering something positive to the op but attacking what someone else has offered.
this is just way too common on this forum
talk to the op with positive ideas instead

No, not at all. I tried to answer a "guest" question when I it was asked about which machine. I tried to be helpful.
I am sorry if the way I tried to help doesn't suit you.

I have no problem with guest postings at all. Now some people are just a PITA but that's true no matter if they are a registered member or just an anonymous guest or whatever.
723qns wrote:talk to the op with positive ideas instead
Didn't see any need to because I had nothing to add in that area. That's already been covered by everyone else.

Again. I was only trying to help the "guest" who didn't see the machine listed in the signature.
I simply stated the facts....the machine was listed in the signature line. Wasn't mean, or nasty or snarky or anything like that. Now if I had also said something like "dumbass, can't you read"...yeah...but I didn't do anything like that.

Geezz....I get bitched at for not helping guests and then when I try to help I get bitched at. I can't win today.

at the risk of further derailing this thread..
guess we need to figure out the difference between helpful snarky and bitchy

How can I report a post? I don't like gratuitous nastiness.
