She responded to a thread the other day. She said she was getting tired of the "snarky - ness" goin' on here. I also suspect she realizes she has a life, and like me, was spending way to much time here.

Actually I have been on vacation.
My grandson was here and I took a vacation from the internet and the forum.
Probably needed a break anyway. My patience with the snarkiness was wearing thin and I was too tempted to tell the offenders to just go FO.

I hear you, Pugsy. It would be great if the snarks would at least stay off newbie pages where people genuinely need help, not snark. I thought we were here to help, but each post seems to turn in to a gunfight at the not Ok corral. The snarks need to get a life.

Maybe the heat is getting to some of us.
I feel the need for some time off.

I gave you the morning off, woke up at 9:01 not able to breath, another power outage (storm damage they say 889 houses) thats twice in 11 days, you would thing we live rural not in a city of 75,000. We need the Wichita lineman, here bad. As with most jobs in the U.S.A., the people that were at their jobs retired or were let go, and replaced by two kids that don't know the job.4 hours later we have power, for now. Jim

Yes, just at night, It had a problem and blew the concentrator circuit breaker, so it had been running 18 hours, testing it when the power went down. In answer to that other post, I didn't die from it, but I struggled 5 minutes before I awoke, I wouldn't call it pleasant, that makes 4 times in 12 years of papping. I don't like living in the Stone Age, I need my Power, house got hot quick. Jim

I had tried to get my electric back on because of a medical need and they told me to go somewhere that had electric on. My doctor told me to request a form for medical reasons and I got a lecture but I still got the form for my doctor to sign. So far I haven't had to test it.

Somewhere that has electricity--you don't suppose they mean a motel? Or a homeless shelter?
I would inquire about power outage lodging reimbursement from your insurance, landlord, or whatever.
If you could sleep in your car, you might go to a campground for the power hookup.
It might be a good thing to find out about emergency accommodations in advance.

I don't think that a form will help, there is or should be a method to repairing a problem, you can't top a tree from the roots, and expect a good outcome. Things have to be done in the correct order, and there is the safty of the workers to consider. Jim

That's unfair.
