Living with BiPAP/CPAP and sleep apnea

Post by Askbaumann » Sun Jun 25, 2017 1:50 pm

I have had sleep apnea for 12 years. I have battled with masks and straps the entire time. I tried full face masks and nasal masks. In the last couple of months, I got no relief from my apnea equipment. In the middle of the night I would wake up out of breath. I couldn't breathe with or without my apnea equipment. I finally tried out a Netti pot to clean out my sinuses. Wow, what a difference that made to clear out your sinuses you need to be able to exhale through your nose; with an apnea machine, that's not possible. I now recommend cleaning out your sinuses at least once a month I can again sleep through the night.

I clean mine every couple of days, seems to really help keep my nasal passages open.
