Good suggestion, however, it's past the 90 day warranty and they won't budge. Even when I told the gentleman it was a tad ridiculous they couldn't help me as I'm the user, his response was "I'm sorry, you'll need to talk to an authorized dealer." Believe me, shaming them won't help. I just had a dis...

Eric, That range is too much. Normally you want a range of around 5. For me, I have a smaller range of just 4. You may want to up the begining pressure to 5 or 6 since people don't normally feel ok breathing on 4. Also, yes that is more than likely the problem. Sleeping without the mask means you ar...

Invacare Twilight NP parts (Aura/Headrest)

Hello All, I am wondering if anyone has a deconstructed mask they aren't using? I specifically need the exhaust port. I was cleaning a mask I had purchased just last October and when I went to put it on a towel, I noticed the exhaust port was no longer there. It's just a huge hole now. I did call In...

Wilfred, Contact your insurance company and ask them for a list of all of the DME's they participate with in your area. From there you can call each up and ask if they carry a certain machine. For me, I was totally in the dark about the whole process. I've never had anything major health-wise, so I ...

FMC, I am a true stomache sleeper. I HAVE to be in that position before I can really get a good night's sleep. In the beginning I to thought I'd have to give it up. Take Rested Gal's and College Girls suggestion. I have the Twilight NP mask (formerly Aura) and LOVE IT. It's the only mask I've used s...

Shelley, For many people, aerophagia does subside. I had it in the beginning on and off for around three months. Since then I haven't had any attacks. You may have just had a very bad night. Did you sleep in a different position than before? Try to relax and think positively. I know it's a tad disco...

Lyza, Just because you are dreaming, doesn't mean you aren't still having lots of apneas. I dreamt a lot before beginning treatment. The way to tell if you are improving is if you are feeling a little better...less tired. It sounds as if you're still feeling as you were pre-CPAP. This means your pre...

Hades, Would your doctor loan you an APAP for a couple of weeks to get the pressure right? OR, you could call up your local DME and ask how much it would cost to rent an APAP for a week or so. IF you are finding you definitely need a pressure of at least 16, then my concern is that you may end up ne...

Hades did they give you a titration when you had your sleep study? Even if they did, it could be inacurrate due to the length of time you let this go by untreated. Yes you have severe OSA and without treatment you won't get better. Are you going to get another sleep study/titration? IF you haven't h...

When I used a full face mask, I found I was snoring a little. Once I went to a nasal mask/pillows then it went away for whatever reason. You might want to keep a journal to detail any changes to see if you are indeed feeling better. It could be a slow progression. Some people get luck and instantly ...

I'm a stomache sleeper and found the best mask to be the Invacare TwilightNP nasal pillows. I did try four other masks, including the ResMed Activa, but the Twilight just seems to work better. I've been using this mask for over a year now and love it. It's also quieter than some other masks I've tri...

If you purchased this item from a DME, then I would take it back to them especially if it's still under warranty. IF it's still under warranty and you purchased it from an online company, then contact them to see what you need to do.

cpmJohn, If you got the test results, please post them. Many here understand and can give you an idea if you have mild sleep apnea. That way you would know if the cost might be worth it. As to the earplugs, my db wears his religiously. While my little APAP isn't loud, he needs a completely quiet env...

I've tried the Swift and it's nothing like the comfy Aura. I have heard pretty good things about the Comfort Lite 2. You may need to do a little surgery on that one too.

Dllfo, Have you pulled your reports to see how your sleeping is going? Large mask leaks or more apneas? Have you been getting the right amount of sleep? How often does this nodding off feeling happen? Every day? When did it start or has it always been this way? These are some things for you to look ...
