Comfortlite 2 for Sale or Trade

I've given up on my ComfortLite 2. I just don't think I'm cut out for a nasal interface. I've used it (or tried to use it) maybe 5 or 6 times--it's practically new. It comes with Medium and Large pillows and Medium and Large direct seal (the one that covers your nose). I'd like to trade for a Hybrid...

I've been very surprised at how well the Ultra Mirage Full Face mask seals with my beard. The only problem I've had, though, is at higher pressures (above 12 or 13), which may not make ideal for you. Good luck.

Do you only start snoring when you're lying on your back? If so, one less than state-of-the-art fix I've heard is to strap a piece of foam rubber on your back, shark-fin style, that discourages you from rolling onto your back and getting comfortable there. As for surgeries, I'm clueless. I do know a...

Trouble-Free Masks?

After reading many, many posts about the endless search for a good mask, and about tweaking, rigging, re-sizing, and fiddling with masks to get them to work right, I'm just wondering...How many users out there have found a truly trouble-free mask? One that fits, that works all the time under all con...

This thread gets me wondering... I've been thinking of forking over the big bucks for the Encore software. I know in the lab they can monitor your sleep cycles and phases with the electrodes they glue to your scalp, but how does the software keep up with all that with nothing more than your breathin...

Are you on any medications? The taste/smell thing sounds like it could be a side effect of certain meds.

I've had very good luck so far using the Ultra Mirage Full Face mask with a full beard. As long as my pressure stays below about 13, it stays sealed. Anything higher than that blows it clean off my face. I think one key is I'm keeping the small area between the "soul patch" and the chin whiskers tri...

I'm in favor of support slumber parties. We can check out each other's jammies and sleep equipment, try on each others' masks, call up our sleep doctors, giggle, and hang up...

I've had the same experience as DSM. It seals fine for me, even through my ususal tossing and turning, until my Auto hits about 14, when I wake up to a torrent of air rushing out from under the mask. Nothing I do with the pressure that high will get the mask to seal back on my face. I've only been u...

For what it's worth, I just started last night with an Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask. It's only one night, but I was really surprised at how well it sealed in spite of my beard. Of course, my pressure is set lower than yours (Auto range of 6 to 14). Good luck.

Anjelika, I am very sorry for your loss. I recommend you find someone to talk to about your grief--a counselor, a priest, etc. It might help to find a grief support group where you can share your experiences with others who have recently lost loved ones. They would be able to help you with the speci...

I'm brand new at this (still waiting for my machine to get here), so I may not know at all what I'm talking about, but I do have some experience with anxiety and claustrophobia. You might try wearing the mask for a while during the day when you're awake to get used to it. Once you develop some famil...

Thanks to everyone for their help on this. My doctor gave me a copy of the sleep study and a new prescription, so I've decided to go for a new machine (probably the REMStar Auto w/C-Flex). Now I just have to figure out the masks, and I'll be on my way.

Newbie Questions: Models & Masks

First, I want to thank this community for all the responses to my previous post. I've never experienced such a helpful group online. Now, I've decided to go ahead and get a machine, and I have two questions. These may be questions for my doctor, but you all seem pretty knowledgable, and you don't ch...
