Howdy,
Prepare for a slick, greased up answer.
We're a private company in a competitive situation. We don't want to give away sales figures or even % of category sales if we can avoid it. The manufacturers are always wondering this as well - they know what they sell us, but not what their competitors are selling us. It drives everyone crazy, and we're going to keep it that way.
With that said, we have a popularity ranking inside each of our categories. A key component of that ranking is amount sold, however, there are other factors. We have newness offsets, we can freeze new products near the top that we think a lot of, we can also adjust it based on phone support feedback. So, although sales are a component, if people are buying a lot of a product we don't think highly of, we'll step in.
In short, we've done a ton of work to get people looking at the products that are going to work for them. Autos work and we try to make sure those who purchase from us know whats available to them.
