Re: new machine

I agree with Jimbo. The S9 Elite (or, if it meets your needs, the Autoset) is my new machine, and I love it. The colorful screen, the abundance of data, even the SD data card that I can take out of the machine amd read in my computer are all good things, to me.

Re: ResScan 3.10 -> 3.11

Thanks,Uncle Bob!! This info will allow me to get more directly involved in my CPAP therapy a LOT more than I already am.

It will be a treat to have this info readily available, since my current machine (the RemStar Pro with C-Flex) has no readily retrievable data to me.

Snug, my friend,

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep me informed, either in the chat room or in a PM, of how things are going for you.

FINALLY a new machine!!!

I've had my CPAP 7 and a half years, and it has become a very welcome bedtime friend. I currently use a RemStar Pro with C-flex. Had it since day 1. Over 15K hours logged on it. It's been very sturdy, and I've had ZERO problems with it. But, I had RNY gastric bypass surgery 19 months ago, now. Since...

Some thoughts

I have been reading the posts about the MAP policies of the major CPAP suppliers. To me, this definitely sounds like collusion, in order to drive up prices. 5 years ago, I got my CPAP from a local DME (Apria). I was given no choice who I would be going with, and, looking at all this going on, I sure...

Bob, refer her to this link: http://www.talkaboutsleep.com/message-boards/viewtopic.php?t=21038 Maybe she'll finally understand the seriousness of OSA. If not, then get out the insurance forms! Kajun Kajun, I will show that posting to her tonight, and see if it has any results. Also, its now Friday...

Karen, Thanks for the kind words, and the show of support. It does mean a lot to me. And she has gone into the chat room on her own a few times, but no one else has been there. The support she received the night before she left means a lot to her, but, since she just got her new mask, I'm sure she d...

The best thing, and the only thing, I can do is to not even bug her about her machine any more. I think I advised you about doing this.....several pages back. (easier said than done, right?) She may just have to get to the point that she's dead tired all the time before she gets "the picture". Hope...

France, I couldn't agree more. She is sounding like a petulant, stubborn child. I know her mom and sister would have made her use it, had she actually taken it. If I can talk to them without her being around, I will have them gently inquire about her machine use. It would be a big help if her Mom co...

Well, she is off to Florida as I write this, and she flat-out refused to take her CPAP machine. She told me I was bugging her too much about taking it. I honestly don't know what to do any more to get her to use her machine. The best thing, and the only thing, I can do is to not even bug her about h...

I will be honest here, too.

I am 43, and weigh a shade under 400lbs. I'm seeing a nutritionist to help me lose weight, and getting out and going for a walk a few times a week.

Ladies, Thanks for the hints. I wil lshow them to Michele and let her know. Apria only gave her one interface : the direct seal. Don't know why, but that is all that they gave her. What I think Michele didn't like was the old mask (the ComfortGel) she had encompased her who nose, and when it sealed,...
