gosh, rested gal, I guess I was unfortunately "running" over your post and not reading carefully. Okay, 6 goes to 7. And yes, these are mostly, mostly hypos--sometimes i get a fraction of an apnea, but never a whole one and not often. Den, great to talk with you! Yes, I'm still counting my blessings...

Thank you rested gal, kathy and carol, Thanks for all your good wishes and urging to go back to the sleep doctor.I may--we'll see. I guess I'm reluctant because I think he'll order another sleeo test. If I need it, it's not bad, but... For the moment, anyway, I'd just like to see how I do if I get t...

Right Pressure To Get HIs under 5 Consistently

Hi All, I haven't been here for a long time because I've had a long "medically excused" absence from CPAP/APAP. But I'm getting back on it. I have my Vantage S8 Resmed APAP, which I'm not sure is pictured here, and I just started using the Resmed Quattro in XS and S (I guess XS is better but it does...

waking up with headaches near back of head/neck

For several months, i've been waking up with headaches in the back of my head near my neck. my doc gave me muscular pain relieves but they didn't help. then for unrelated reasons. i changed my sleep mask from umff and f&p 431 to comfort 2 full. i may not think this is the ideal mask, but the morning...

rested gal: does that mean i can wear my mask looser? I wear it (UMFF or F&P 431)very tight in order to get leak rates of .04-.08, so tight that i have face marks in the morning (not strap marks). certainly a looser mask would be more comfy. i thought that leak rates of .40 would be unacceptable and...

it's no wonder that you're not getting great sleep if you're constantly anxious with the machine. and you're obviously less anxious when you don't feel you have to use the machine; hence, better sleep. get your pharmacy to get moving with the xanax. since, as i recall, you have 24/7 access to a slee...

Did you get a Resmed Sullivan V Elite from a DME in 2006? I got my Resmed Sullivan V Elite from a DME in 2001 and then it was used, not that these machines don't have a long life. It's actually a very good machine, but it has two problems that make it difficult to use in the modern cpap world. First...

i also have dry mouth all night and upon awakening although i use a full-face mask. i go to bed with a can of soda or water at my bedside. i've learned to take only sips during the night to reduce bathroom visits. It's not a great solution, but it's the best I've come up with.

what's all the anxiety about? not prying, but if it's cpap-related, you need to learn to manage it. i don't know about a bi-pap, but a cpap can have the effect of relaxing your body if you let it because it regulates your breathing. i think i would continue with cpap, and maybe you need some good se...

For what it's worth, until I was a real xpap veteran, I woke up sweaty and with racy heartbeat with the F&P 431 mask. I found the chin piece claustrophobic and sweat-inducing. A UMFF or Comfort Full 2 is a less restrictive full-face mask. It doesn't sound like that's the whole reason for your proble...
