Just discovered cpaptalk and SleepyHead Oscar

Post by Translog » Fri Dec 27, 2019 3:45 pm

Good day !

I have been using a Resmed 10 Autoset since December 2017and just discovered Sleepyhead. Looks like I am doing ok, however, had this OA and wondered what you though of it?

Any observations would be appreciated on the overall data and if I am doing OK or not.

Best regards

The OA looks arrousal related as there is disturbed breathing before it maybe a roll over but absolutely nothing to worry about your numbers are very good

Now that I think of it...I think the cat decided to wake us up at 5:30 AM.

Thank you again for the info.

Take a look at the pinned topics to see the preferred format for graphs to be posted.

Then post, showing the complete night without zooming in on any particular events. Pick some typical nights.

Your AHI look pretty good, but there might be a little room for optimizations.

Correct, I believe, based on the jaggedness of your pressure curve that it will smoothe out your breathing, leasing to better rest.

Well, I adjusted the min and max to 12 / 20, and could not handle it, keep me awake, so at midnight I read up on a few more topics like Aerophrgia while I was up and discovered that my burping all day long seems to be associated with Aero. So I readjusted the number back down but upped the lower from the original 6 pressure number by 0.2(to try and up it slowly as others have done on this forum with success) and left the upper at 20 and turned on EPR. Felt good having that assistance less invasive seems to have helped Aerophragia, will see how my day goes. I will take a look at the sleepyhead data although I was up most of the night until about 2:30 AM.

The sleepyhead was good AHI of 0.

Your AHI is good, but your Flow Limitation is pretty ugly.

We know you are OK with a higher minimum because once you fall asleep your machine jumps up to over 11 CM and rarely falls below.

Having said that, moving up slowly can work well for your pressure intolerance and aerophagia.

Move your minimum up by 0.2 minimum, wait for a few days and keep adding 0.2. If you have problems, stay there for a few more days, or move it back.

When you move it up by 0.2, make the change in the morning so you aren't thinking about it right as you're trying to fall asleep.

Dog Slobber,

Great insight! Thank you....thinking about it last night was definitely an issue. Thank you for your feedback.

Decided to give it another shot yesterday and upped the minimum pressure to 11 Max is 20 with EPR on at 3 cm.

Tested it with a small nap aroun 4 PM ish and felt good.

So I hit the hay around 11:30 PM and well lazily woke up at 10:30 AM, wow guess I needed the sleep.

Felt more rested for certain.

Sleepyhead data looks good, wonder what your views are so here the link.

Thank you for your insight.

I it was me I would turn off ramp why wait 30 min to start your treatment, other than that I see no issues and would say sleep with those settings for a week and see how you feel.
