Re: Pleasantly surprised with Brevida nose end cushion interface
The Use and care Guide identifies flow rate loss from the diffuser filter. Roughly 20%. It also gives pressure loss with diffuser filter installed, 1.7 to 6.3 cm H20 varying with cushion size and flow rate, but I don't know what to make of the information. And noise difference from diffuser filter -...

Re: Phillips - Mask free solution for positional OSA
Very interesting. I almost always sleep on my side, deliberately for the reason that NightBalance exists. It is claimed to help some people not everyone, I don't know if I am susceptible. Sleeping on side complicates mask choice - over the head is best, such as Phillips excellent DreamSleep concept,...

Re: return to forum last visited not working
So the user has to find the saved thread on their computer and try to link from that?
Searching in the forum does not work well.

Re: Now CPAPUSA has botched its web site
I've purchased from Clinical Sleep Solutions, in the past, but a recent enquiry about cases for PAPillows went unanswered despite repeats and telling receptionist someone should check email. Another company in decline. I've purchased from CPAPOutlet.ca, including this year, good service. Couldn't pu...

Re: More entertainment - comparing insides of 3 remstars
Looking inside a few old RemStar breadloaf machines, I found: - One whose PCB is labelled Poseidon, whose pump is quite different. (Searching with DuckDuckGo.com and Google I see > Invacare Poseidon passive humidifier, Omega shape (perhaps sits vertical), https://www.manualslib.com/manual/78005/Inva...

Re: Dream Wisp and sores on nose bridge
There are stick-on pads for nose masks, perhaps through Amazon or someone like CPAPSupplyUSA. Might be able to adapt. Creams/gels may help lubricate so if damage is from sliding reduce it. I think older people tend to have thinner skin. But of course complexions vary. Beware that some people are all...

Cushion interchaneabiliy Wisp
Are the cushions for the Respironics Wisp and DreamWisp interchangeable?
Appears size range is different, DreamWisp has discrete sizes whereas Wisp has M/L or such combinations.

Re: Pleasantly surprised with Brevida nose end cushion interface
Unfortunately: - The hose is not routed upward, cannot turn it fully up. Not good for people who turn over during the night. - Noise filter fell off (clever design diffuses airflow, perhaps at cost of resistance to breathing out). - Both companies cheaped on sizing, their cushions should come in a t...

Pleasantly surprised with Brevida nose end cushion interface
I am pleasantly surprised with F&P’s Brevida nose end cushion (with nostril prongs). It works for me as well as the Respironics dream sleep cushion does. User does have to read instructions (spread nostril prongs apart when putting it on nose, with pressure ON, to get right fit and avoid prongs inve...

You're an inspiration for losing weight.
Thankyou.

Re: Dreamwear Frame Measurements
Tip: I find that the cushion needs to be further out the nose than feels right, in order to seal. Caution: The cushion interface will not be good for long noses, they should have made an XL cushion. As for pillows, the Swift II works better for me than the Dreamwear pillows, both take fiddling durin...

Re: Dreamwear Frame Measurements
ZZZ chick, it appears that Respironics' scheme is to use the back straps to adjust vertical height of the frame by changing its curve - note in side view that the frame is not straight vertical. IMJ it is poor design, made worse by the back straps being far to high on the head. You might try wrappin...

Ouch, that's a big drop - how much is due to the antibacterial filter?
Why is the filter on the output of the machine not on the inlet?

Re: Another ResMed APAP brick just released
Thanks chunkyfrog, that's nothing to do with "offshore". As a backup machine I don't need data and other fancy features. Noise I'm not especially concerned about. Lack of DC input on many Apex machines is a drawback, somewhat defeats the compactness of it. I think Apex is Taiwanese, perhaps stumblin...
