Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
I guess I’m ready to post a success story. Been on PAP therapy for just over 9 years. I have just purchased my third machine. I used a PR Respironics System One for 4 years, an Airsense 10 Autoset for the last five years, and my new machine is the Airsense 10 Autoset For Her. My current machine has ...

Seems I'm having the same issue this person had: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t106691/Resmed-AirFit-suddenly-upping-pressure-beyond-max-after-5min.html Here is a pic of my screen. https://imgur.com/gallery/RG0fg My P10 nasal pillows mask is relatively new -exhaust holes not blocked, machine on ...

Resmed Airsense 10 malfunctioning?
My machine settings are 5.0-7.4 but sometimes the pressure randomly goes to 10 (above my max setting) and stays there, waking me up. Then the auto off feature is disabled and when I take it off my face it just blows until I turn it off. I'm also noticing that when this happens, the air coming out fe...

Is this official advice Sheriff?Sheriff Buford wrote:When I used to ask suspects questions, they would respond, "If I say yes, then what will happen?" If they didn't like my response, they would ask, "If I say no, what will happen?" Then they would pick the best response... for their hide!

Re: Cat Sleep Study
I'm laughing so hard because my cat actually has sleep apnea. She has snored heavily for years and jerks awake from a hard snore just like a human would. I have periodically joked over the years about putting her on cpap therapy.

You people sound like a bunch of chickenshits. Man, if I had been there I would have tackled that skinny little punk and took his gun from him and handed it over to the TSA myself. Aint no way some "shooter" is gonna pull a stunt like that with me if I am there. This is why we need universal concea...

Wow three years is impressive. Well then whoever takes it should get a long life out of it.LSAT wrote:I would take it, but, I already have a spare and my current chamber is almost 3 years old and it still looks like new.

Re: Free Unused Humidifier Chamber for Resmed S9 H5i
The humidifier chamber is still looking for a home. It would be a shame to throw away a completely unused piece of replacement equipment for such a widely used machine. *scratching my head*

Free Unused Humidifier Chamber for Resmed S9 H5i
EDITED -- BOTH ITEMS NOW TAKEN! THANKS! Twice I've received the wrong parts from Crapria and opened the packaging before realizing it was the wrong part and they couldn't take it back after it's been opened. Hence, these are open but completely unused. GONE -- One Resmed H5i Standard Tub part number...

Re: Autopap for nasal congestion
For 11 years now I have been having sleep issues because of nasal congestion. I can't use a full face mask. If I switch to an AUTOPAP will that help "blast" through my congestion and allow me to sleep better? I don't think it will make any difference. No pressure is strong enough to "blast" through...

Re: Study: "CPAP machines do not reduce heart attack, strokes"
So basically, they're saying CPAP doesn't work.... In fact they said that xPAP does work . They're saying it doesn't fix non-OSA related pre-existing conditions - there's no surprise at all there Why do you consider pre-existing CV conditions to be non-OSA related when pretty much all of the eviden...

I'm with Granny - must have been funded by a dental appliance company... 49er, I did not say that, and Katy has edited it out of her post. Please edit it out of yours. I am not as knee-jerk cynical about medical researchers as many here are. It is a poor study. Why was the study so poor? I don't kn...

Re: Study: "CPAP machines do not reduce heart attack, strokes"
So basically, they're saying CPAP doesn't work without saying the patients weren't compliant with treatment.
That's like saying taking insulin doesn't prevent diabetic coma when you only take a third of the dose you need.
Well, duh! Of course it doesn't work if you aren't compliant with treatment.

Re: Full time RV with CPAP
Good point about how long it would take to charge a laptop. I just read that the average laptop draws 72 kwh, but mine plugged into the kill-a-watt only draws 18-20 kwh - while trying to figure all this out, it helps to make sure you understand, and use the terms right. else it can be very confusin...
