Mask On/Off Issue

Post by Musickf » Tue May 23, 2017 2:32 pm

Good afternoon. I've been using my CPAP every night since getting it and look forward to seeing my overall results the next morning on the myair website. Something I've noticed and have being wondering about is this: every single day, the webpage shows me as having exactly 1 time where the mask comes off. The thing is, I never take it off, unless it's after I wake up or when I need a drink of water. Is this something I can fix? Or is it just something to not worry about? I'm waiting for my SD card to start using the sleepyhead app, just in case you're wondering .

I did a quick search but couldn't find anything about this subject. I may have not been using the right phrasing, though.

Thank you!

You are always going to have at least one mask off reported...it's the one when you take the mask off in the morning to start your day...that one counts too.
Turning the machine off and removing the mask in the AM counts as one mask off thing. Nothing to fix because it's normal reporting and nothing to worry about.

When you get up in the morning and take your mask off to get out of bed, there is NO WAY that that should be counted as one mask off/on. That is silly and makes no sense. All they would have to do is subtract one to account for that. So, in reality, I can only get up to go to the bathroom once if I want a perfect score. And YES, I want a perfect score. Things like this motivate me. I know most of you think this is silly, but if you were competitive and OCD like me, this kind of things drives you crazy. Yea, I know, no big deal, but it could easily be fixed.
