Re: Stuffed nose
I use dreamwear and one nostril always closes up, the side that is down. This happens regardless of wearing a mask or not. It is just more noticeable with dreamwear. I've been wanting to try a vaporizer or saline pot. Dreamwear tends to be noisy with any nasal blockage. If not at high pressures, tr...

Re: Chin straps
I use this one maybe one day a month when I get open mouth problems. Most of the time I have trained myself to keep my tongue behind my top front teeth and don't need a strap. Far more comfortable.

Allergens in your room or filter? Maybe clean out the whole system and see if it helps? Are you using distilled water, could that be contaminated?

Re: Amara View update along with some major issues
Are you mouth breathing or nose breathing? I use a View as a back up to my beloved P20 a few days a year when I'm congested and find I then tend mouth breathe, sleep less well and wake up with aches and pains...

What size pillows are you using? The larger you can use, the more stable it should be.

P10 Large Pillows For sale - $2 each!
I have a lot of P10 large sized pillows in good condition that I do not need. They have been used, and sanitized but I seem to very sensitive to wear on them and replace them roughly every six weeks. Re: Side Sleeper needs mask help
Don't give up on nasal pillows because of congestion. Run with no humidity and/or try a month long program of daily nasal rinses (pressure wash not netipot). Look into Flonase type sprays once a day too. I had the same issue and now am VERY happy with my P10. The Amara View I use for back up is a ma...

Re: Side Sleeper needs mask help
Can you trust an AHI with 60% leaks? I don't think I would.
Curious as to why the OP is using a FFM - is there a reason or was it just prescribed? P10 is excellent on side and when I'm congested I use an Amara View but it's nowhere near as comfortable and leaks bit more - often 2-4%.

Re: Need some help reducing AHI
In theory anything under 5 is "Technically Treated" but agree that 2 or under is just fine. I get up to 4 this time of year as allergies cause me to mouth breathe which seems to be measured as open airway events and adds to the AHI. I do feel a little less "clear" when my AHI is up and sleep less we...

Re: Congestion and other apneas
I had similar issues but now I use NeilMed nasal rinses in a Waterpik machine with nose adapter once or twice a week and cortico steroid sprays most days. I have a slightly devoted septum but find the Airift P10 can quite quickly blow my nose open if I keep it clear before I go to bed.

The FAA forbids airlines from separating you from any medical equipment and trying to count it towards baggage allowance. International flights are less certain but if you speak up you should be OK.

Never found a better mask. Do you wash the pillows ever day and the mask every week? Never had any issue with vents blocking.

Re: Traveling With CPAP
I just remove the water tank as I leave the hotel room, to avoid spills. I've been around the world and around Europe (I live in TX) since I started CPAP. I have identical twin S9's and alternate which one I travel with to equalize hours...

Re: Trouble Breathing in the Morning
Who set you up with 4 and 7 settings? That sounds very low and may be causing you to work harder than you need to breathe on your machine/mask. Especially with a full face mask.
