Should I make any adjustments?

Post by M3T4LLik4 » Sun May 14, 2017 6:20 am

Hey all,

My sleep has vastly improved, but I want to know if my flow rate graph looks normal, or if I should adjust my higher end pressure. I feel pretty good, and last night I only woke up once in the middle of the night. My AHI always doubles or triples when I sleep well (deeply), and I realize that I only had an AHI 1.3 (last several night has been under 0.5). I feel pretty good, but I want to be able to sleep deeply without concern of feel residual fatigue. It's strange, but when I sleep deeply, I feel energy later in the day, but I wake feeling groggier. Just thought I should pick your brains a bit. I have attached some of the events and zoomed in on some of the areas I am most concerned with.

Thanks!

Are you using an alarm to wake? Grogginess sounds like you may be waking "off cycle". My cycles are about 90 minutes long so I do well on 7.5 or 9 hours sleep, less well on 8.

I didn't use an alarm this morning. I went to bed at 10:30, woke at 3:30, then I fell asleep until 6ish, which is my normal schedule during the work week. Sat I woke up without grogginess, and I had plenty of energy despite an average night of sleep. Today was weird though, I slept pretty darn good; yet I still quite tired after being up for several hours. I took a 15 minute nap without CPAP (I know I shouuuuuuld use it, but it was a quicky ) and now I feel much better.

After skimming through the data, I decided to move my low end pressure to 8. It seems like several of my events were due to being below 8cm/H2O. I also bumped my high end to 11. I will try these settings for a couple of weeks and see how my results are. My only regret to having higher pressures is the number my fullface mask is doing on my skin. I have face liners, but it moves around a bit and still leaves lines :S.
