CPAP Supplies Medicare South Florida
CPAP Supplies Medicare South Florida
I've used Lincare for ten years or so and have never been happy with their calling system for ordering supplies. I am 76 and on Medicare with supplemental insurance. I would prefer a supplier with online ordering capability rather than the supplier calling me. I've read most of the discussion threads regarding Apria and Lincare. Apria's website looks pretty good. Can anyone either suggest a supplier or comment on their experience with Apria? I find dealing with Lincare cumbersome and difficult.

I would avoid any suppliers that begins with an "A" or "L". Esp. avoid giving them a credit card when they ask even after you tell them you have a co-pay. They have to get the billing codes right to get Medicare to pay if not they will bill your card and it may take months of the runarounds if you ever get anything back - just don't do it.
Google Verus Healthcare, I use them with good results.

My Lincare, has one of their Farmed out associates call me every now and again (3 mo or less) other than trying to over sell me on things I have overstocked up on, I tell them to ship it or not to ship it, I don't see how that could be easier. What I don't like is there is never a packing list with or a invoice. I guess the no billing works. That's why I want a web based ordering system. I want to just order the supplies I need when I need them. I also hate dealing with their farmed out associates. I block telemarketer calls and they always call from an unidentified number, which I block. Then the associates end up being blocked and I don't hear from them again. I like just going to a web site and clicking on the supplies I need .Goofproof wrote:My Lincare, has one of their Farmed out associates call me every now and again (3 mo or less) other than trying to over sell me on things I have overstocked up on, I tell them to ship it or not to ship it, I don't see how that could be easier. Re: CPAP Supplies Medicare South Florida
I’ve been with Apria in Phoenix for CPAP equipment and supplies for about 10 years. Several times I needed to go to their office for a new mask fitting because my old mask was discontinued. Now, I am using a mask that is satisfactory.
For supplies reorders, in the end Apria gets it right. It’s just original Medicare’s DME situation is confusing. Plus, we are in a DME competitive bidding area. My system uses replaceable mask cushions, mask frames, headgear, tubing, water chambers, and filters, and Medicare has strict rules about when each component can be reordered. For example, yesterday I called Apria because my last supplies order was missing a CPAP filter. It turned out that my machine uses TWO different filters. One was eligible for reorder, but the other wasn’t old enough. Apria explained when I could order the second filter.
Apria’s telephone recorder system has just been revised, and it seems better. You could also handle your needs by contacting them. Or, try Apria’s online ordering system. Sorry, I haven’t used it.
