How to Post

Post by kong » Fri May 05, 2017 3:35 pm

I'm trying to figure out if there is a quick guide on how to post things on this forum. (I imagine there has to be, although I haven't found it yet.)

For instance, how do I change my signature so that it include a link to the CPAP supplies noted?

How do I post a picture so that it will appear at a decent size? I responded to a post that said that there was a sticky on this. When I asked where that information was, I received an answer that's it's in Pugsy's Pointers. I couldn't find it there, although I confess to not having read the whole thing.

Thanks for your help.

Changes to signature can be done in the Control Panel at the top of the page. To post charts and pictures go here....

For instance, how do I change my signature so that it include a link to the CPAP supplies noted? You shouldn't, It would be impolite to the owners of this forum who pay the bills, the people you buy your supplies from should do their own advertising, or start you a forum. The supplies links provided point to the cpap.com site, and are most useful in TEXT not Iconny.

As far as reading Pugsy's Pointers, it's hard to do without reading it, lots of good info there. It is a quick guide. Pictures must be hosted on a pic hosting site and linked to your post with the "Img button"

I think you misunderstood me. I wanted to make it so that if someone clicked on the link, they would find the item on cpap.com. I'm not trying to help cpap.com or anyone else sell items. I just wanted to make it so that someone could find information easily on the item. And if someone was going to make a sale based upon my link, it might as well be cpap.com since they do host the site and don't appear to make much of an effort to control the discussion.

Click on the links you have posted, they open us the CPAP DOT COM site at your product, most of us here prefer you use text mode as most of the Iconny's look the same, and we don't want to waste our time and effort, going to the main site to find out what you are really using, if you don't care why should we. It's a simple request, your option. If people know what you use they can better address your problems. Only links of products sold by the site owner can do this. Jim

Are you using Mac?

If you are using Windows, placing the cursor on the icon makes the product description (full link address) appear in the lower left corner of the window. No need to open the link.

Never be a Apple product in my house, just Windozes, and Android allowed, my computers have to do real world work. Eyes too bad to read the print in that little Windozes pop up, I ignore it. I was directing my post to Kong "Down with Iconny, use your Brain" Jim
