Cheek Strap Pad for F20?

Post by Grouch » Fri May 05, 2017 12:05 pm

I've made my peace with the Airfit F20 and actually quite like it now. I had a brief flirtation with Amara View, but have given up on it even though I can use my glasses with it. I gave the View one last try last night and ripped it off at 1 am and went to the F20. Like going from a brand new pair of heels to comfy, broken in athletic shoes. Much better leak rate, too.

I've worked out all the things that bug me on the F20 except for cheek canyons in the morning from the lower straps. I have various cheek strap pads, but they are all a lot wider than the F20 straps. I can wrap them around twice, but can't Velcro them in place.

Can anyone recommend narrow strap pads? I've been eying the P10 Padacheek ones, as the straps seem to be about the same width. Has anyone tried these on an F20? I know she had ones for the F20, but they don't have Velcro and I'm still adjusting my straps fairly often. Plus they seem to be a lot wider than necessary.

My wife and I both use the F20. We use the original strap pads from padacheek. They just slip over the straps.

I just slip a sock under the lower strap, seems to do the trick for me.

I don't get the wearing glasses deal with the Amara View, if I'm putting a mask on then I'm going to sleep!

Thanks, folks!

Hannibal - I read until I get sleepy. Then the plan is to put the book down and go to sleep. This actually happens sometimes. But mostly I fall asleep reading and wake up 3 or 4 hours later. If I'm already am wearing the mask, I still get therapy. Otherwise I'd spend half the night without CPAP.

So, yes, I want to wear my glasses with my mask like I was able to do with my nasal pillow mask that I can no longer use.

Fair play, hadn't considered that, Hope you find something that works, there's a gap in the market here for reading glasses that'll fit around a FF Mask.
