Nasal Pillow mask leak...

So last week I replaced my old stretched out Fabric Nuance Pro nasal pillow with a brand new one. I immediately noticed the next day after using the new one that I felt way better and had more energy and everything. Is it possible that my old mask was was leaking but my machine wasn't detecting it or something? That is the only thing I can think of as to why I noticed an immediate difference with my new mask. It goes to show you how important the mask is with treatment and even replacing a worn out old mask. Has anyone experienced something similar to this?
