bpap building pressure
bpap building pressure
Bpap machine is building pressure, then bursting almost off my face to expel. Doesn't do it every night, but many nights. Any ideas? Thanks

In order to help you, it's important to have as much data as possible. Fill out the section on equipment and such so we can see that.
Just a wild guess...but auto machines that adjust pressure will sometimes do something similar to what you describe when there's a leak. Machine tries to correct by increasing pressure. So you should check your machine recording data to see if leaks coincide with these episodes.

We need to know exactly what machine (make and model) you are using, as well as your prescribed settings for that machine.john40 wrote:Bpap machine is building pressure, then bursting almost off my face to expel. Doesn't do it every night, but many nights. Any ideas? Thanks
In particular, the phrase "bpap machine" could be used to describe standard bilevel machines (PR BiPAP Pro, Resmed VPAP S), auto bilevel machines (PR BiPAP Auto, Resmed VPAP Auto), bilevel machines with a triggered breath mode (Resmed VPAP ST), or an ASV machine (PR BiPAP AutoSV, Resmed VPAP ASV), or something else.
It would also help us if we knew what your diagnosed condition is. Do you just have plain old OSA? Or do you have central sleep apnea or complex sleep apnea problems in addition to OSA?
