I recently found this forum and it is nice to see a community of support.

I have a S8 escape2 that works fine but I know that it is not the most efficient and you can't get useful data from it.

Several years ago I fired the sleep doctor/ sleep lab because all they want to do is contact me every couple of years to sell me new stuff at full price to get the most from the insurance company...which in turn affects my companies bottom line since we are self insured and only use an insurance company to handle all the "paper work". They were pretty much jerks after the intial diagnosis and approval by the insurance company...no followups, nothing. So after a few times of them popping up every 2 - 3 years checking to see if I need supplies I pretty much spoke my mind. I apologized to the gal on the phone as I wasn't angry at her but how their organization treated patients/customers.

My primary care doctor filled out the prescription form for cpap.com so I can get supplies as I need them... My old mask had been rebuilt several times and my new one is working much better.

I don't have much background info to offer as I was not told much initially other then I was diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea about 6 or so years ago. About 39 events per hour. I am a 52 yo male with the usual middle age male issues.

While my current therapy seems to work (I know when I fail to put my mask on at night I am dragging badly the next day), I know that I have no quantitative data to show how my therapy is doing.

At this point I am looking at the ResMed Airsense 10 autoset to update my home unit and relegate it for travel. This should allow me to start to gather data and a history of how things are going.

Any tips or suggestions on the Airsense 10 autoset for me ? I know I can go through cpap.com and use my flex spending card and then later submit things to insurance.

get it, set it with the minimum pressure equal to what you're using now, and leave the max at 20.

gather some data, see what it looks like, post a pic or two here, and then adjust the minimum, if needed.
