First night Airfit P10

Post by Yayoe10 » Fri Apr 14, 2017 1:42 pm

First night with the Airfit P10. Used some Ayr Nasal gel to prevent irritation and dryness and wow it honestly went better than I expected lol 0 L/m, and an AHI of 1.1. If I had mouth leaks it would've showed on the L/m right ?

I found the irritation went away after a while, but I switched to a full face mask & then back to the P10. I am not sure about your machine, but mouth leaks show up as Large Leaks in Sleepyhead with my machine. I think your model may not provide as much data as my AutoSet machine. I think there needs to be a lot of mouth leaks before you see it in MyAir.

I guess the small Amara View mask did not work for you.

The AirSense 10 CPAP machine offers limited data with just the AHI and the one leak number.
I thought that it reported 95% leak number which means "at or below" that number of 95% of the time.

0.0 for a 95% leak number would be a bit unusual...not for a median leak number though.
You might look in your manual to see just which number for leak the 0.0 is reporting...is it median average or the 95% number???
At any rate...yes, if you have much mouth breathing going on it would be reflected in the leak numbers.
Mouth breathing is a leak and it will show up on the leak reports/graphs as simply a leak...the machine doesn't know what the cause might be...just knows that there is some sort of leak going on.

Yea my machine doesn't show a lot of info sadly . I wish it didn't so I can review the graphs and all that data everyone usually gets. The amara did and didn't work for me. Every now and then it'll irritate my nose a lot or leak. That's why I got the p10 to switch off on and off

I'll forsure check when I get home thank you! I really wanna know if I leak through the mouth because I'm usually a mouth breather but no leaks have shown so I'm unsure and I haven't really woken up with much dry mouth tbh
