F & P Brevida now offered by cpap.com

Looks like cpap.com is now offering the new F & P Brevida nasal pillow mask $135. It's been available in Canada and other parts of the world for a little while.
We have a few forum members who have already shared their thoughts on it. If you use the forum search feature for Brevida you can find those thoughts easily enough. I think there are a couple of review threads...not too many reviews because it hasn't been available here in the US very long but a few reviews.

It doesn't come with free return insurance like some of the other masks but right now the cost is a little less than $15 for the return insurance (that can change depending on number of returns). You can see the return insurance cost amount when you click on "customize and buy" and buy it or not at that point.
If you elect to purchase this mask and also purchase the return insurance be sure to read up on what all is involved with the return insurance and how long you have to return it.

I have personally used this mask for about a month or so a while back. It's a nice little mask but I did have a couple of issues with it.
One issue was the inflation/deflation thing it does with inhale and exhale...for some people that is going to be rather distracting and annoying especially if any exhale relief or pressure support is used. I was able to get past the inflation/deflation thing easily enough but I know some people couldn't.
Second issue for me was the back strap. It's not adjustable and it was just a little too long for the back of my head and while the side straps offer velcro adjustability the back strap doesn't. I have a small head...probably wouldn't be a problem for regular size or large size heads. The back strap allowed too much mask movement causing some big leaks which would wake me up...so that was annoying.

It does come with the optional vent diffuser (easily put on or removed) and with the diffuser in place the mask is essentially silent in terms of vent noise.
The nasal pillow itself is super silky soft...which is both good and bad...feels really good against the skin but allows for that potentially annoying inflation/deflation thing.

It's going to be like any other mask out there...some will love it and some will hate it and the only way you will know how you feel about it is for you to try it. It's not perfect....I don't think any mask out there is ever "perfect" as I always seem to have pros and cons with any of them. I just decide if the pros outweigh the cons in my own personal preferences list and that dictates whether the mask is a potential "keeper" or not for me.

Right now my Brevida is out on loan. When/if it gets returned to me I will play with that back strap and see if I can make it a little shorter so that I get better stability.

Its been on 1800cpap at $30 less with free shipping. The $15 return insurance is offered on cpap.com though.

From the pictures, what is the grey thing around the area normally used for an air diffuser, a filter?

The gray thing on the end of the short hose next to the blue thing (which is what the nasal pillow attaches to) is the optional diffuser. It pops off if you don't want it or wish to change it. I think the mask package comes with 2 of those gray diffusers plus they are washable. It's a hard plastic thing with the diffuser stuff in the middle and just clips on and is easy to remove or put back on.

I didn't check the noise level without the diffuser. I prefer the silence and just never thought to try it without the diffuser.

If you remove the diffuser from the elbow, the exhaust port is very much like the ResMed Swift FX exhaust. I've been using my Brevida now for a couple of weeks and have gotten my leaks down to 0-1 l/min. Now I'm headed to a bilev machine as soon as ins approves it

OTOH, if you know the size pillows you need, CPAP.com offers the single size packages (xs/s BRE1SA and m/l BRE1MA) for $95 each and the fit-pack with both cushion sizes for $135. There is currently a promotion offering free shipping for items under the $99 threshold (UMBRELLA - all caps).

need a new mask as the ones I have ain't working for me. I have 2 FF and wan't to try some sort of nose mask.

DME takes FOREVER. over 2 months to get my Aircurve,...
Supposed to get a Dreamwear from them in 2 weeks, we'll see if that happens.

Saw this mask from a different supplier. $105 fit pack, no RX and 30-day return included, free shipping.
Ordered it to try out.
