Must Read: UK To Trial New Treatment For OSA

Post by Hannibal 2 » Tue Apr 04, 2017 3:19 am

Bilateral hypoglossal nerve stimulation.
If this works, it's going to be a massive game changer for many of us, and a disaster for xPap machine manufacturers.
Your thoughts please.

I know I have mentioned this before but it bears repeating for the newbies who read this thread. A sleep endocosopy is required to see if you qualify for the procedure.

Unfortunately, I didn't due to having complete concentric collapse of the entire palatal area. Apparently, studies have shown that folks who best respond to this therapy only have problems in the tongue area.

Apologies, I thought it was something new the way they were reporting it, new to me though, I should have searched for it.

If the large number of patients who remain undiagnosed would get diagnosed, they'd sell more xPAP machines, even if a large portion used alternative treatments.
